A little Problem..., April 11, 2006
This review is from: Creature Feature (Audio CD)
Just thought would point out, the other review of this item is incorrect... the Pendulum of recent (dnb)... were formed in 2002 or near abouts in Perth (Australia). Where as the producers of this album were also called Pendulum (a electronic group of the late 90's from Melbourne.. a lso Australia..)
Don't want to sound picky, but thought it might mislead people..

Good CD, but not the same Pendulum as the new dNb!, August 29, 2008
This review is from: Creature Feature (Audio CD)
This CD is great for lots of reasons. First, it's different... not too much of this laid back breakbeat; least that I've heard. It's very listenable without becoming too repetitive.
But yes, this is NOT the same Pendulum as the newer dNb stuff (Hold your Colour, etc).

to the modern drum & bass fans: not what you are looking for, January 27, 2006
This review is from: Creature Feature (Audio CD)
released in 1998, pendulum's "creature feature" is much different from pendulum's newer drum & bass music. i was expecting something different, and that's what i got...nothing bad, just different.
the album contains a lot of breakbeats with a hint of rock mixed in. it still seems synthesized and very interesting.
"Redemption", "Skagtrap", "The Dream", and "The Problem" are actually drum & bass tunes which would have been exciting back in 98. "Shape Shifter" is a cool tune that starts slow, and eventually changes into a d&b beat.
here are the track listings
1. Duck On A Bike - 6:10
2. Ghostrain - 7:12
3. Ghettoblaster - 6:44
4. Mutant Road Creature - 6:04
5. Redemption - 6:42
6. Skagtrap - 5:44
7. Shape Shifter - 6:50
8. Precious - 5:23
9. The Problem - 3:28
10. The Dream - 6:48
11. Hell Smells - 5:54
i would recommend this album to any old-school electronic fan
