Make sure you get a game manual.,

The games are all really great. If you have Vista, only Creatures 3 and Village work immediately. I haven't figured out how to get 2 and 1 to work, yet, but I heard there is a way to get them to run on Vista also. I can't play Creatures 3 because I do not have a game manual. The game is very involved, your creatures die at the very beginning of the game if they do not get enough starch, and can't figure out what types of foods have starch without a manual. So if you get this game, be prepared to also search for a manual for creatures 3!

This review is from: Creatures Collection - 3 Pack ( Exodus, Village & Albian Years) (CD-ROM)
Creatures 1, 2, 3/DS and Village were four truly captivating artificial life experiences. From hatching the first cute and furry little Norn in the forest world of Albia to watching them adapt to life on the Shee Ark in space, it is a wonderful journey. The landscapes and ecosystems, the music and the Norns' own adorable spoken language all add to the atmosphere. Definitely a series for all ages.
Note: The three titles in the Creatures Triple Pack collection for Windows XP -- The Albian Years (Creatures 1 + 2), Creatures Exodus (Creatures 3 + DS) and the younger Creatures Village (Creatures Adventures + Creatures Playground) -- have since been remastered separately for Windows Vista/7.
