A pretty good short guide to the credit crunch,

For people like me with more interest than understanding of the credit crunch, this is the perfect thing to read when you're left asking questions after supposedly informative newspaper article. It's short, and doesn't get carried away with technological jargon (the section on Northern Rock is refreshingly devoid of special terms) - indeed, that's what makes it compelling. It may leave you wanting more - I read it cover-to-cover in a single train journey - but, in a way, that's its attraction. Well worth the cheap cover price.
