Very nice fragrance - green, woodsy, fresh-from-a-waterfall scent.

Just do a youtube search for "fake creed" and you'll get instructions on how to tell if what you're buying is fake.

Creed's Green Irish Tweed is my signature scent. I've worn this fragrance, at the time of this writing, for 11 years. The aroma of G.I.T. fits my personality and lifestyle. This is my wife's preferred men's fragrance.

Green Irish Tweed delivers the fresh, clean, crisp, masculine, just-out-of-the-shower aroma I have received the most compliments to. G.I.T.'s scent presents an urbane, mature, and sophisticated aura. Projection and sillage is moderate and lasts 5-6 hours on me.

I find Davidoff's Cool Water fragrance similar to G.I.T. but Cool Water has an astringent/synthetic undertone and lacks aromatic richness when I compare it head to head with Green Irish Tweed.

Green Irish Tweed is a fragrance for any occasion and any season, from black tie to a sweater & jeans, in my opinion. I find this fragrance uplifting, cheerful, and guaranteed to please the noses of people I encounter. If you are looking to make and leave a lasting favorable impression without dark, musky, sexual undertones, Green Irish Tweed will help you accomplish this. If the essence of masculine goodness could be bottled, in my opinion, it would be Creed's Green Irish Tweed.

Green Irish Tweed has been a good seller since the mid 80s; and for good reasons. 5 stars!

p.s.- I've been reading unsettling comments about knock-offs and fakes apparently being sold through Amazon. This is a concern to me.

Keep in mind that fragrance reviews are subjective to the people writing them. If a review piques your interest in a certain fragrance then sample it on yourself first, if you can, before you buy it online. Otherwise, you'll be wearing someone else's opinion which could turn into a disappointment for you, as well as a poor investment of your money.

Yes, it is on of the most expensive cologne out there, but once you try Creed, it's hard settle with anything less.

With Green Irish Tweed, it's really hard to find fault. It's THAT good. You probably read some reviews online saying it's a rich man's Coolwater. Blasphemy! NOT EVEN CLOSE.

The one problem i have with this cologne is longevity. By the fourth hour, there is almost no trace of the scent.

That said, like with all perfumes, you need to see if the cologne works with your body chemistry before spending a fortune.

I have used House of Creed Eau-de Toilette and other products from this fine old company for some years now. But the veracity of Amazon as a authorized seller or re-seller seems very troubling. Specifically, I question the authenticity and origin / source of Amazons supplier. For a product made in France for centuries it seems very odd the there is a label on the bottom of the bottle itself in Arabic script. A bottle Creed Green Irish Tweed would normally retail at $270.00(us),even with an amazing discount, it seems difficult to believe that AMAZON could be selling new, fresh stock for $139.67, and possibly make a profit. I believe what we are all buying is old, liquidated, foreign export stock. What is that old adage," If it seems too good to be true it probably is". Such a shame on Amazon, and it seems a gullible shame on me for trying to save a dollar This is the last time for me!

Hi,

I highly recommend this cologne to anyone interested in creating a lasting impression, one that proclaims sophistication, professionalism, classiness, and power. I have had plenty of women and men curiously compliment the smell of the cologne, which essentially, is the purpose of the cologne--to draw attention, thus creating a higher self-confidence in yourself.

Many people have not heard of Creed, and are quite intrigued to know that Green Irish Tweed was distinctively made for Cary Grant, one of Hollywood's most classy and famous actors of the 50s and 60s. During the classic Hollywood era, certain smells were created to distinguish between actors and actresses. Each had their own cologne or perfume, very much like how each actor/actress have a trademark personality type. Creed was a leading manufacturer of creating trademark cologne/perfumes for the classic Hollywood actors and actresses.

Again, I am very much glad that I came across Creed's Green Irish Tweed. I have received many compliments because of it and it is always nice to know you are smelling nice. I would recommend a 4 fl. oz bottle because you will love the smell, absolutely. There are many websites that offer good deals for a 120 ML/ 4 fl. oz bottle of Green Irish Tweed, (Google it) and do not spend more than 85.00 because you can certainly get it for cheaper, although you will still find it worth it once your nose experiences G.I.T. :)

There are several indicators you can use to spot a fake outlined on youtube. Just do a youtube search for "fake creed" and you'll get instructions on how to tell if what you're buying is fake.

The bottle I received did not have the proper insert, and the etching on the outside of the box was less detailed than a legitimate one. The scent didn't last beyond two hours. Legit Creed will still be lingering 7-8 hours after applying.

Creed has a shelf life of 5-6 years. Often the bottles sold by 3rd parties (meaning anyone not Neiman or Creed) are improperly stored or purchased at a discount because the batch is already old or close to expiration.
