More About the Author

E. C. Crawlie is a fiend who dwells in Creepspace with his carnivorous plant, Voracia. He loves to skulk about in dark, secret places and he very much enjoys scaring people. He is also the creation of Matt Jordan, a writer living in Nashville, TN.

Creepspace: The Witch Game is the first book in an anthology series for young readers. Matt describes the series as "The Twilight Zone" meets "Tales from the Crypt" for 9-12 year olds.

In addition to books Matt writes screenplays, comics, music and code. He is also a late-blooming visual artist/animator and an advocate for open source software. When he's not writing, drawing or animating, he can be found spending time with the world's most incredible woman and scratching the ears of her pet - the world's neediest cat.

As a teacher, I know my students are hooked when they groan because read-aloud time is over, and that has certainly been the case with The Witch Game! Third graders are not easy to please so close to the end of school, but they can't get enough of the suspenseful storytelling! The characters are easy for my students to relate to and they are truly enjoying the story. They gasp in all the right places, ask thoughtful questions, and they are making predictions... I love the way they are interacting with the story! It has definitely passed my "teacher test." If all of my students are silent and totally paying attention while I read, I know it's a great book... consider me a fan! Can't wait to read what comes next!

As someone who teaches 8 to 12 year-olds, I was asked to read this book before publication. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I found myself immediately drawn into this wonderful - and truly exciting - story. Fans of the Goosebumps books - especially those who are ready for something just a little bit scarier - will really love Creepspace: The Witch Game. This book will likely be a big hit with kids who love a good old-fashioned fright.

My 10 year old grandson absolutely loves this book! After reading it he told all his friends and cousins about it and now they've formed a little book club. It's so exciting for all of us parents and grandparents of the "Club" to see how enthusiastic the kids are about reading a scary book like this. It inspires them to sit and have long conversations and make up their own stories.
Therefore, I would like to thank you, E.C. Crawlie, for your inspiration and great work.
Sincerely, the Grandmother of a scary book enthusiast.

I got my copy the other day and finished it faster than I thought I would -- it's a real page turner! I'm confident that kids will fall in love with this series. The biggest surprise to me was how scary the book is. This is great, because I feel like stories that are actually scary are really needed in this genre and age range. But it's not TOO scary! The author does a great job of creating that balance. Overall I think Crawlie did a great job and I will definitely suggest Creepspace to my friends.

Had been around when I was a kid, the story is captivating, and the artwork is perfect. It reminds me of a series like the Nancy Drew mysteries, Hardy Boys (boy) except in a scarier scenario - boy meets scary times. I like it a lot.
This is my first Crawlie, and I hope E.C. writes more along these lines and soon.
Thanks Mr. Crawlie!
Superb!

I have read an incredible amount of books just this past summer alone. But Creepspace is my all time favorite, and I'm absolutely hooked!
I cannot wait to read more from E. C. Crawlie, his writing technique and story telling is creatively addicting! 😊.
I am now reading it for the second time, and this time it is being shared with all the kids at my local Boys & Girls Club, who are just as excited and looking forward to see how this creepy page turner ends !
