Quality Hardcover - Lovingly restored!!, January 9, 2010
This review is from: Creepy Archives Volume 3 (v. 3) (Hardcover)
Dark Horse really outdo themselves with these Archives! Beautifully presented oversized hardcovers with dustjackets. Great artists such as Colan, Frazetta, Ditko, Wood, Morrow, Severin and others. The quality paper really brings out the art and they compare well with the "Marvel Masterworks" in terms of quality (if only DC would improve the paper on their Archives and Classics). The Ditko stories in particular present wonderfully-the art jumps out at you on this paper! Highly Recommended!!

One of the Best!, February 1, 2011
This review is from: Creepy Archives Volume 3 (v. 3) (Hardcover)
I have the first 3 Creepy Archives & the first 2 Eerie ones. That being said, Volume 3 and Volume 1 of Creepy are my favorites in art & stories.
This volume is the last solid (non-reprint) collection of the "Goodwin years". Art fans get 5 (!) Steve Ditko stories, 3 Reed Crandall, 2 Neal Adams, 2 Dan Adkins, 4 Jerry Grandinetti, 4 Angelo Torres & 1 Gene Colan story. Sadly, there are no Gray Morrow stories, but he provides 3 of the covers, w/ Frazetta on the other two. I deduct one star because the Adam Link series is really dated, not horror or funny or sci-fi.
My copy was used, $20, and in great nearly new condition!
After this, I will wait until Volume 9 or 10 when the Warren renaissance occurs (Corben, Marota, Wrightson, Mayo, Heath, Torrents, etc.) Read reviews before you buy Creepy Volume 4, 5, 6, or Eerie #3, 4 or 5.

Though the stories wont astound you with their brilliance, the art might-- This book has the best artists of the best era of straight american drawing. The subject matter is fun.
