5.0 out of 5 stars SPINE TINGLING!, October 25, 2011
This review is from: Creepy: A Collection of Scary Stories (Kindle Edition)
Prior to my obtaining this collection of short stories, I had read Murdoch's Eyes and The Rumblin' and wrote 5 * rave reviews for each of them. I would like to include those reviews:

MURDOCH'S EYES
This is the most graphic short story I have read in a long time.

Gina could outmaneuver the monster man, but if she could not find her way out or escape Murdoch's eyes, she would not stand a chance.

Although the descriptions of what Gina saw made me nearly lose my lunch at times, I could not stop reading.

I cannot tell you any more without giving too much away. All I can say in closing is, be very careful what toys you allow your children to play with.

THE RUMBLIN'
Loved the fast pace. It is suspenseful with vivid descriptions of the characters and the influence the rumblin' had on them. I wanted the storm to end, but not the story. I look forward to reading more by Jeff Bennington.

THE SHADOW MAN
What did Jeff see while hiding under the bed as a child? After reading this story, you will be scratching your heads. Without a doubt, you will be listening a little more closely to unusual noises. You will also pay more attention to unexplainable shadows.

THE GHOST NAMED EARL
While Jeff, his wife and some friends stayed in a rented cabin in Nashville, Indiana, Jeff experienced something he has never forgotten. Creaking floorboards and a dark silhouette had Jeff's heart hammering in his chest. He felt electric energy buzzing through his body. What Jeff, his wife and friends saw before going home, makes a believer out of me.

SOMEONE IN THE BASEMENT
All I have to say about this story is that I would have switched jobs after the first occurrence.
You must read this fabulous collection of stories. My favorite is The Rumbin'. I no longer go camping and I am terrified of storms.

5.0 out of 5 stars SPECTACULAR COLLECTION OF GHOSTLY STORIES, October 25, 2011
This review is from: Creepy: A Collection of Scary Stories (Kindle Edition)
Creepy by Jeff Bennington is a collection of five spooky stories that are sure to leave shivers trailing down your spine. Three of these stories are Jeff's witness accounts of actual supernatural events and the other two stories are fictional works that are detailed and brilliant.

After reading Creepy I find myself checking over my shoulder, looking into the corners and wondering what is lurking around me!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Book - Grab Yours Now!, October 26, 2011
This review is from: Creepy: A Collection of Scary Stories (Kindle Edition)
I loved the mix of real life and fiction stories in this book, it's nice to know that even supernatural writers get scared!!

This book is perfect to read by yourself (with the light on!!) or to be read aloud as part of a 'ghost story' evening (huddle together!)

I would find it difficult to pick a favourite out of the five stories in Creepy as they are all gripping. I would definately reccomend this to any reader as it's well worth a read, if your anything like me you'll be searching Amazon to find Jeff Bennington's other books!

5.0 out of 5 stars A chilling collection of creepy stories to make your spine shudder!, October 25, 2011
This review is from: Creepy: A Collection of Scary Stories (Kindle Edition)
I reviewed this and chose it from my stack to read as it is coming up to Halloween, and I am a sucker for all things of the spine tingling nature.

I loved this book! The mix of real ghost recollections and stunningly scary fiction works really well, and I have to say, I had to wait till the daytime to finish reading it! The cover itself sends an ice cold fingertip down your spine.

I think my favourite story was the one of Earl, the real life ghost, but I shan't spoil the plots, buy it now for your Kindle....

Bennington's world of true recollection and imagination come to life (or death) in this book. The fact that some of these stories did indeed happen, for me, sets this book apart from the others in the genre at present.

Treat yourself to this book...and if you are brave enough to read at night, leave the light on after...5 stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Chilling Collection to Scare You Into Halloween, October 26, 2011
This review is from: Creepy: A Collection of Scary Stories (Kindle Edition)
Creepy, by Jeff Bennington definitely lives up to it's name! I'd suggest leaving the lights on while you read it!

The collection consists of 2 fictional short stories, Murdoch's Eyes and The Rumblin' and 3 real life supernatural accounts that happened to Jeff himself. They are The Shadow Man, The Ghost Named Earl and Someone in the Basement. The true accounts are definitely chilling and will make you wonder what goes bump in the night. The fiction shorts are fast-paced, edge of your seat, thrill rides.

I'd just started into the book when I heard thudding upstairs. I assumed the cat was playing with her mouse. Then I looked and saw she was in the room with me...... Hope it was the neighbors...

If you like to be scared read this book!

A great collection of stories that had me, from his own person first- hand accounts to the depths of his psyche. A gifted writer who can hold his audience captive, Murdock's Eyes held me spell-bound to be very end! Well done, Jeff!

All I can say is you need to read this. The stories are bizarre and edgy. If you like the cover of this book, then imagine what is between the pages and you will be right. Download it and see.
