Book Description

"Damn! That was fascinating, Jeff. An interesting story, well told. Thanks for sharing." ~ Matthew McNash

ABOUT CREEPY:

The Creepy series is a one of a kind combination of true supernatural occurances, mixed with a variety of supernatural short stories. Creepy contains The Rumblin' and Murdoch's Eyes. Best of all, Creepy includes some of the author's real life supernatural experiences... absolutely true ghost stories.

Read Creepy 2 and Creepy 3 for ONLY 99¢ each!

"I was around ten years old when I had my first supernatural experience. Thirty years later, my ghosts have returned and they are creepier than ever. I've seen full-bodied apparations, felt a dark presence practically breathing down my neck, and everyday I work with a ghost who seems more curious than anything." ~ Jeff Bennington

STORIES IN THIS COLLECTION:
The Rumblin'
The Shadow Man
Murdoch's Eyes
The Ghost Named Earl
Someone in the Basement

These ghostly experiences have influenced my writing and allowed me to truly capture the essence of fear and suspense that you'll discover in my fiction. If you enjoy creepy tales from Stephen King, you'll love my heart pounding, short stories too.

ADDITIONAL RED HOT REVIEWS:
"With the author using horror as a psychological special effect, Murdoch's Eyes packs a fearsome punch. A killer of a short story thriller!" - Michele Tater, The Couch Tater Review

"Murdoch's Eyes is a wicked, twisted little tale. A thrilling paranormal both well written and with some truly freaky characters. I don't think I'll ever look at anyone with green eyes the same again." - Jen Wylie, Author of Sweet Light

"Reading the reviews of this book, I wondered if it was all it was hyped up to be. Reading it - I discovered it really was. The violence is beautifully executed, the plot is perfect in its speed and intensity and the characters are wonderfully written. Jeff Bennington has written a stunning story here. Ten out of ten." - Michael Wilson

"Very interesting story, Jeff! I don't think I would've gotten much sleep either." - Neal Hock, The Bookhound's Den

***If you like ghost stories you'll love REUNION, an Amazon bestselling ghost story that takes place twenty years after a school shooting, with a twist that willl kick your....well you get the idea.

5.0 out of 5 stars SPECTACULAR COLLECTION OF GHOSTLY STORIES October 25, 2011
By Kimi
Format:Kindle Edition
Creepy by Jeff Bennington is a collection of five spooky stories that are sure to leave shivers trailing down your spine. Three of these stories are Jeff's witness accounts of actual supernatural events and the other two stories are fictional works that are detailed and brilliant.

After reading Creepy I find myself checking over my shoulder, looking into the corners and wondering what is lurking around me!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Book - Grab Yours Now! October 26, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I loved the mix of real life and fiction stories in this book, it's nice to know that even supernatural writers get scared!!

This book is perfect to read by yourself (with the light on!!) or to be read aloud as part of a 'ghost story' evening (huddle together!)

I would find it difficult to pick a favourite out of the five stories in Creepy as they are all gripping. I would definately reccomend this to any reader as it's well worth a read, if your anything like me you'll be searching Amazon to find Jeff Bennington's other books!

5.0 out of 5 stars SPINE TINGLING! October 25, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Prior to my obtaining this collection of short stories, I had read Murdoch's Eyes and The Rumblin' and wrote 5 * rave reviews for each of them. I would like to include those reviews:

MURDOCH'S EYES
This is the most graphic short story I have read in a long time.

Gina could outmaneuver the monster man, but if she could not find her way out or escape Murdoch's eyes, she would not stand a chance.

Although the descriptions of what Gina saw made me nearly lose my lunch at times, I could not stop reading.

I cannot tell you any more without giving too much away. All I can say in closing is, be very careful what toys you allow your children to play with.

THE RUMBLIN'
Loved the fast pace. It is suspenseful with vivid descriptions of the characters and the influence the rumblin' had on them. I wanted the storm to end, but not the story. I look forward to reading more by Jeff Bennington.

THE SHADOW MAN
What did Jeff see while hiding under the bed as a child? After reading this story, you will be scratching your heads. Without a doubt, you will be listening a little more closely to unusual noises. You will also pay more attention to unexplainable shadows.

THE GHOST NAMED EARL
While Jeff, his wife and some friends stayed in a rented cabin in Nashville, Indiana, Jeff experienced something he has never forgotten. Creaking floorboards and a dark silhouette had Jeff's heart hammering in his chest. He felt electric energy buzzing through his body. What Jeff, his wife and friends saw before going home, makes a believer out of me.

SOMEONE IN THE BASEMENT
All I have to say about this story is that I would have switched jobs after the first occurrence.
You must read this fabulous collection of stories. My favorite is The Rumbin'. I no longer go camping and I am terrified of storms.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pretty lame
I'm sure the true stories were scary experiences, but not scary stories. The fiction was like 1920's melodrama, not very good melodrama.

Not creepy or scary at all. Odd? Shivery? You bet'cha! I will most certainly be looking forward to more from Mr. Pennington.

3.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, but short
Just as the hairs on the back of your neck begin, to stand on end....it's over. Creepy is more like a collection of prewiews, than a collection of short stories.

Jeff's novels have been compared to Koontz and King by his dedicated fans, and although many writers would love to hear such praise, Jeff simply turns red-faced, shakes his head and walks away. Mr. Bennington is a student of the craft, and hopes to perfectly pen a novel that balances fear, hope, tension and the state of the human condition so that every reader who reads it, weeps for days, nearly suicidal that it had to end. But until then, join him on the journey, and discover the many stories that have ravaged his brain in their struggle to get out... and they will escape... at any cost.

LATEST NEWS: The Secret Tree, co-authored with Patrick Bousum is NOW available in the Kindle store, and coming to print and audio soon! Jeff and his family are also leaving for Puerto Rico to enjoy some much needed time away from their crazy life! Unfortunately, their chocolate lab, Jaxson, will not be attending.

WHAT'S COMING NEXT? Jeff will release MISSION UNDER FIRE in late summer - 2013. Mission Under Fire is a memoir co-written with Jeff's father-in-law, Rex Byers, about the terrifying events that unfolded on a mission trip to Haiti. After arriving in Port au Prince, the team endured a violent gun battle with a Haitian gang of bandits, with nothing to defend themselves except knives, coke bottles, and prayer. This is truly an amazing story of determination, faith, love, and ultimately forgiveness.

Jeff is publishing A GOLFER'S GUIDE TO LOVING YOUR WIFE by Jon Tice, a perfect Father's Day gift for the Golfer in your life that wants to improve his game where it really matters.

Jeff's short story, Suka: The White Wolf, was purchased by The Horror Zine and is scheduled for a 2013 release with Imajin Books.

Jeff has written political thrillers, supernatural thrillers and short suspense. You never know what he's going to write next, but you can bet that it will be suspenseful, intriguing, romantic or thrilling -- but not necessarily in that order. His blog posts can be funny, inspiring or informative; depends on his mood. He is truly a creative soul. He designs his own book covers, has been drumming for over 30 years and loves creating glass mosaics!
