4.0 out of 5 stars Bulb for oven
I ordered this for my nephew who is 4 for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. The only problem is that the oven doesn't come with a bulb. My sister had to go out and buy one before he could play with it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Creepy Crawler up date Creepy
I loved Creepy Crawlers when I was a kid. We had dozens of metal molds, not just spiders, but action figures. I still have the centipede that I made 30 years ago. Each section is a different colour and the legs are streaked with multiple colours. We would try and do artistic things like add colours a bit at a time to make a rainbow effect. The cooker was not all that hot...

The cooker was not all that hot and they provided tongs to remove the molds which you then put in a tray of water. That cooled it off.Bumped into it once or twice with my hand and got a mild burn and guess what? I did not touch the tray again. !!! Duh.

But the safety nannies have ruined it forever. The new molds , heated by a lightbulb will not open the door until the tray is totally cool. Not only that, it takes longer, making the procedure boring. No more adding layers, as the bottom one will burn.No more creativity.

Truly sad that a great toy has been ruined in the name of safety.

Well my daughter opened this on Christmas and wanted to play it. Well, she couldn't because it does not include the bulb. I didn't read the box, I assumed it came with everything. You need a special size bulb which no store were open on Christmas Day. We still have not been able to get the bulb. Was very disappointed it did not come with one. Just wanted to give you a warning.

I bought this on clearance for my son's birthday, but it sat on a shelf for a few months. I dragged it out the other day because I need something to entertain them. They loved it. They played with it all day yesterday and again today. My daughter (10) spent her own money to buy refill goo. I don't know if I would spend the thirty dollars that it is on amazon, but for the eight buck clearance price I spent, I am thrilled with the fun they had. I will definitely be buying more refills for this, and probably the other molds too.

My 10 year old daughter loved it. She played with it all day and used up all the goop. It said it made 40 bugs, she made only 25. I think she made mostly big bugs!

Our kids have enjoyed making these creepy creatures. Instructions are pretty straight-forward and easy to follow. Each time they use it it's quite a process so they don't seem to want to do it more than a few times a month. I recommend this for kids that like to explore their creativity and aren't averse to playing with bugs!

This is a bit cheap looking and has been ignored by my son ever since he received it on Christmas. When he opened this gift we found out that we needed to purchase a special bulb in order for the oven to operate, so he placed the oven back in the box and hasn't bothered with it since. The oven is small, it only comes with about two molds and the bottles of goo are ridiculously tiny which means that you are practically forced to spend extra money in order to purchase more molds and goo for your creepy crawler in order to make it interesting, and this will end up costing more than I am willing to invest in this toy.

Overall a nice product however the odor when baking bugs is not very pleasant. Limit your child on how many they do so the odor isn't as strong.

I got this for my kids for Christmas last year and it was used one time. That's it, one time. If you don't have the right lightbulb, your creations never fully cook. It smells horrible and it is hard to get rid of hte samell once it is in your house. It was not worth the money at all. I think we even broke something on it trying to get the creatures out of the oven part or turning it on because it has to click in place or the lightbulb does not come on. So I could not return it or I would have promptly. I think at the time we paid $50 for this thing. Don't bother.
