Crescent Moon Snowshoes have their competition beat on the binding system.
These shoes are far superior to any other I have used. The ease of entry and exit makes you realize this was designed by someone who actually snowshoes,not someone in the front office. I highly recommend this product. Their shoe booties are also superior.

I have a pair of 32 inch Crescent Moon Silvers that carry my 200 lbs. very nicely. The bindings are excellent, very easy to put on and tighten--and also very easy to release and take off. They keep the snowshoe at the proper angle with no pigeon-toeing, and have just the right amount of lift to keep the tails from dragging without throwing up a lot of snow onto your legs. They don't throw nearly as much as my Atlas shoes. The tight taper of the tails may also have something to do with this. Ordered the 27 inch Silvers for my wife, who is a lot lighter than I am.

Another good thing--Crescent Moons are made in Colorado--one of the few "domestic" brands that are not made in China (nothing against the Chinese, but if I can get a high quality product at a reasonable price that is made here, that's the way I'll usually go.)

These snowshoes provide great exercise & enjoyment. They lived up to the manufacturer's description for versatility, reliability, and ease of use.

These are terrible shoes! I just tried my new pair for the first time today and within 10 minutes the backs of my legs and thighs were soaked through and freezing from all the snow these things kicked up! It made for a miserable hike. My boyfriend was wearing Tubb's Sojourn snowshoes and stayed completely dry. We're both beginners so I don't think it was a technique issue, just bad design.
