• BINDING: The Crescent Moon SPL (Single Pull Loop) binding has been recognized as the best binding year after year by the media, testers and customers alike.The all foot encompassing binding system is made of a flexible polymer which wraps around your foot and provides excellent support and comfort and will not come out of adjustment. With a simple pull of the loop on top of the binding and the heel strap, the entire harness system is tightened - with one hand - even with gloves on! It is a quick and easy entry and exit. The Silver version of the binding features tension lock and spring loaded cam buckles.

The Silver 17s, like all of the Silver series of shoes, have a modified version of the SPL binding which still provides you with a perfect fit and feel while snowshoeing on, or off your favorite trail, and through deep, untracked snow. The Silver 17s are noticeably light with a 3 claw aluminum traction system and the signature tear-drop shaped frame which promotes a natural, comfortable stride for trekking in nearly all conditions. The bindings on the Silver 17 will fit sizes up to 10.5, for larger sizes consider the Gold 17 Expedition model which fits up to size 15, including snowboard boots. Silver 17s are recommended for recreational use by snowshoers who weigh up to 300lbs - perhaps the best BIG entry level shoe on the market and made entirely in Boulder, CO, USA.
