I have many types and brands of snowshoes from traditional ash wood and rawhide to the new aluminum style with synthetic decking. Crescent Moon makes the best of the modern design snowshoe. The binding system on the Gold series is very easy to adjust and use, when you have cold fingers. Your boot does not slip out of the binding like my Atlas and Tubbs snowshoes. They are well constructed with welded frames. Many of the lesser brands do not do this. The fit and finish shows their high quality standards. They provide good flotation on fluffy snow and the crampons bite well on hardpack.
Another PLUS is that Crescent Moon snowshoes are made by an innovative company located in Colorado, USA. I also purchased a pair of Crescent Moon Gold 9s for my wife. She loves them. The Gold series snowshoes also have a lifetime warranty. I highly recommend their products!!!

The bindings are easy on, easy off. And they stay on your feet. The shoes themselves are sturdy enough to stand up to practically anything. They look good. The crampons can get you up anything and down anything. I've seen country I never would have seen because of these snowshoes. They're made in Colorado at a plant that operates solely on wind power. I love them.

I've been very pleased with these snowshoes so far. This is the first season I've had them, and so far I've put about 30 miles on them under varying conditions, though nothing too extreme.
The construction seems to be good. Everything looked and felt great when the snowshoes arrived, and everything appears to be holding up without issue so far. I've been very pleased with the flotation of these shoes, finding them to be functional even in very fresh powder. The crampons provide good traction under any typical circumstances (though I haven't done any real "climbing" in these shoes). I also enjoy the fixed bindings, though I know some people can't stand that style. Personally, I think the fixed bindings enhance the flotation, and concerns that they "throw snow" on the back of your legs are overblown. My favorite aspect of these shoes is how easy the bindings are to manipulate, even with my thickest gloves on. My wife also bought a pair of snowshoes (Tubbs) at the same time that I purchased these, and though she loves her shoes, there is no contest when it comes to getting our shoes on and off. The Crescent Moon bindings are fast and easy. At the start of the trail I usually have my shoes on and end up standing around for a couple of minutes while my wife is adjusting her bindings.
