4.0 out of 5 stars Mixed bag
The fins, mask and snorkel are well made and light enough for travel. The bag is another story. It is so poorly made that the strap ripped during a fifteen minute walk to the beach. The velcro closure ripped within a day, too. Note also that the fins run one full size larger than indicated.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a good choice
I bought this for my 14- year old son to try snorkeling. Unfortunately the snorkel leaked and the fins were too big (he wears a men's size 8 shoe and I bought size 7/8) and too stiff for him.The mask was fine, but the rest of the set wasn't right for us. The snorkel leaked from up on the 'hose', not from misuse.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good price, nice equipment, December 2, 2009

This review is from: Cressi Men's Pluma Bag Mask Fins and Snorkel Set (Sports)
I bought this snorkel gear for a trip to Hawaii. I'm no snorkeling expert, but I've been a few times, and I've always used rental equipment in past.

This Cressi set is great. I had no problems with water leaking into my mask. Every so often, a few drops would get in, but I always discovered I'd allowed my hair to get between the mask and my face. Removing the hair solved my problem. I've a female with a narrow face. The snorkel was good quality with some kind of device on the end to help prevent water from splashing in.

The flippers were good as well. I have Size 8.5 (women's) feet, so I got the size 7 - 8. The flippers were a tad on the large size but acceptable. If you have size 8 (women's) or less, I'd go with the next size down.

Many complained about the bag, so I treated it with care and didn't have any trouble with it ripping.

If you have left things to the last minute like I did, this snorkel set is a good option because express shipping is much cheaper than that offered by some of the other companies.

All in all, recommended. Good price, nice equipment, low-cost shipping. You can't go wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST deal on here..., August 22, 2008

This is by far the best deal for high quality snorkel gear. I'm taking a trip to Cancun shortly and being student on a budget I was prompted to look online after going to Sport Chalet last week only to find sub-par (Made in China) snorkel gear on "sale" for $60. -It did not even come with a bag which would have been another $20.

I'm so glad I found this in that Cressi is a top-notch MADE IN ITALY (how often do you see that anymore?) producer, everything looks sturdy and well made AND it came with a bag!

I am very satisfied with this purchase although I feel somewhat guilty cause I feel like I screwed Amazon...but I deserve it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great set, flimsy bag, May 12, 2011

First the bad things: The bag is too flimsy and the velcro lock is already coming off.

Now, the rest:

Best scuba set you can buy in my opinion. My GF is a professional diver and she instructed me to buy a set which contained a dry or semi-dry snorkel and fins that covered the whole feet. Take my word for it, if you don't use scuba shoes, don't buy a set with fins that only have a strap on the back. Get whole-feet or you will get cuts and wounds from corals and rocks.

Mask is very comfortable, no water leaks inside, maybe just a bit around the nose area but that could be my weird face :)

Fins are made out of a soft rubber and you don't feel pain after using them for a prolonged time. The snorkel is fine, just a semi-dry model which works as intended.

Cressi is one of the best brands around. If you want quality (apart from the bag), then get this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value and speedy delivery!, April 19, 2011

This review is from: Cressi Men's Pluma Bag Mask Fins and Snorkel Set (Sports)
In anticipation of an upcoming trip to the DR, I ordered this snorkel set off Amazon after searching around the internet for a while. I had previously ordered a Wahoo Snorkel Set (National Geo) off LeisurePro but the order came incomplete so I decided to move on to this set. The package arrived 2 days after I ordered (amazing!) and the set looks great. I didn't know what size to order but the 2.5/3.5 fits me well (I wear a US women's 8-8.5) and the whole set feels very comfortable. Because of the reviews about the bag breaking, I'll make sure to take extra large safety pins in case anything gets torn (I would suggest you do the same)... overall, looks like a great set and most definitely the best value for the money. I will update once I get to use.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Skin Diving Equipment for a great price, April 2, 2010

I am going on a Hawaiian vacation soon and will be snorkeling and scuba diving. I hoped to find a nice dive kit that I can use scuba diving. The price was great and if I had to replace the fins with stiffer fins, I still be ahead of the game. I really like the fins. Although there are a little lightweight and flexible for scuba, they are attractive and well made, perfect for skin diving.

I'd buy them again. Recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Quality- Horrible Sizing, April 2, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a great fins and mask set at a reasonable price. The fins are full with no opening on the top, only the bottom. This allows them to have an exceptional fit once you find the right size. The problem is that the sizing chart is completely off for US sizes. I wear a Men's 9.5 athletic and normally a 10 in dress shoes, the fins that ended up fitting me were the 7-8 and they are still a little loose.

The bag, as others have reviewed, is complete garbage. I thought if I was really careful with it there would be no issues....WRONG. The velcro cover ripped off the very first time I used it. You will need to buy a bag in addition to the one provided if you are planning to carry the fins any distance.
