5.0 out of 5 stars Great fins at a great price, July 7, 2010
This review is from: Cressi Pluma Closed-Foot Diving Fin (Sports)
I bought these fins for my trip to Belize. Havent taken the trip yet, but have been using them in the pool to condition myself.
These fins have the length and power of much higher priced fins. For the money you can't beat them. I travel twice the distance with half the effort of my old shorter fins. Well worth the money.

Back from my trip. Fins worked great all around with one design flaw for shore divers or shallow depth snorklers. The front drain opening for the foot is on the bottom of the fin and tends to suck the sand into the foot cavity. Suggest you buy a size smaller than normal for a snug fit, these run a little big compaired to the listed size.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fins!, March 18, 2009

This review is from: Cressi Pluma Closed-Foot Diving Fin (Sports)
First pair of fins I ever owned, but I did try two other brand of fins before and the Cressi ones were the best of them. Facts about those fins:

- Comfortable: the part that holds your foot is made of rubber, of the type that is soft to ensure comfort and yet won't tear off that easily.
- The fins ('duck feet' part) are rather stiff and long, and help me practice surface swimming with greater ease.
- Made in Italy.
- good price at Amazon.

As long as you are getting the right size, these fins would work great for swimming. I didn't try this fin for diving. I bought men's size 10-11 (European size, as stated on the bottom of the fins: 45/46) and I wear size 10 shoes. The fins were a bit loose on me, but were still comfortable to wear (I didn't like the previous fins of sizes 9-11 that I tried before because they 'pinched' my legs after some time). Moreover, my fins certainly do not come off my feet on their own at all when I swim - I got the right size!

4.0 out of 5 stars Men's PLuma Diving Fin, September 7, 2011

I started swimming for exercise in the new community pool. Not being a good swimmer I thought I would purchase swim fins, in part to provide more stability while swimming and, in part, to provide more friction to strengthen my leg muscles. I had never used fins, swimming free-style. These fins are amazing - they are doing every bit of what I was hoping: providing balance and strengthening my leg muscles. They are very smooth flowing in the water and are longer than many of the other alternative fins that I reviewed prior to deciding on these. They are definitely providing additional incentive for the lap swimming that I am doing. Great fins!!
