In addition, the cast-iron is completely sealed (including the rims and lid) with vitreous enamel, an ideal material for a cooking surface due to its durability. Great looking Casserole. Adds real personality to your stove.
We leave it out to display when not using it. It is as advertised
and pictured (don't understand the other reviewer's comments
unless they shipped them the wrong product - tomato instead
of the apple maybe...)
Cooks well like any Le Creuset pot and is a quality item but not
cheap.

I was excited when I initially made the purchase, however, I was very disappointed when it arrived. The handle on the lid in the picture made it look like an apple stem, however the casserole that arrived had a simple common round lid handle, which made it look like a weird red pot. Needless to say, I returned it, and I am still waiting for a refund. Buyers beware.
