Le Creuset 8-Quart Pasta Pot with Insert

This pasta pot is the greatest. I have had mine for over 6 months and it is still in incredible shape. I have dropped this thing so many times because I'm clumsy and it is still in good shape. This can also cook rice too (well I've done it). This is also very easy to clean. It is dishwasher safe.

Le Creuset products are always terrific and the pasta pot is no exception. The the pieces seal together well and all the parts hold up in the dishwasher. This is definately the pasta pot you want if you're looking for one to last many years and withstand dishwashers, being dropped, and being banged on with a wooden spoon by babies.

There's only one problem with this pot: the stickers on the bottom are very difficult to remove. It took me several rounds of goo-gone product and several hours to finally remove the stickers.

I don't need to profess the virtues of Le Creuset for those who are already using its products. I have a complete line of their pots and cook with them at least four times a week. I came across this beauty in the gold box one day and had to have it. Of course it functions perfectly and looks great. If you have not used a pasta pot before, you are really missing the boat. For years I fought the good fight and drained my large stock pots with a colander in the sink, but why work harder and not smarter?

You can invest in stainless steel pasta pots that will work just as well, but I like the durability and look of the Le Creuset line. If you must, try and get all of your pots in the same color. I, however, have taken a more liberal approach and prefer to mix and match my pots. On the rare occasion that I put out spread, the different colors actually make the buffet look nicer. Whichever way you go, know that the Le Creuset pots will add a touch of sophistication to your kitchen and you will wonder why you didn't make the change sooner.

I also have a number of LC products and love them. I bought this in Cobalt Blue from Macy's when it was the only place I ever saw it.

However, I have one quibble with this one - the space between the pasta insert and the bottom of the pot is pretty large - I had to add a lot of extra water so that the pasta would have room to move in the water

Decent pot, don't really care for using the insert. the enamel can chip so be careful. It's a little thin so you have to watch it if you are cooking something in it, but over all it's a nice pot and you can brag that you own a piece of Le Crueset (even though it is not the enameled cast ironed)

Fabulous pasta pot. Could not be more pleased with this purchase and it is a vast improvement over my old pasta pot. Worth the money.

I received this on Tuesday and made a pot roast in it the same night. It heated evenly, sides are high enough that meat splatter didn't end up all over my stove (and me!). It maintained temp at low on my gas stove as well. The cleanup was amazing - I expected to have to scrub at least the bottom of the pan, but all vestiges of the meal slid right off and the pan looks like new! This is a great addition to your cookware if you ar looking for a pasta pan, or an excellent stock pan. It is attractive as well. And Le Creuset, well what else can you say!!
