Stumbled across these while looking to replace my brush set (something I do about once a year) and who knew I didn't have to keep buying/replacing my brushes annually? The design of these brushes solves the loose bristles issue - no more stray bristle atop the recently glazed ham, no more stuck together bristles soaking in hot water, no more wondering if the brush is "really clean" or not. I was a bit concerned the thickness of the "bristles" would mean I wouldn't be able to "grab" as much to baste with, however I've yet to notice a difference between the "old bristles" and the thicker silicone bristles.
Easy to use, easy to clean - well worth the cost. Here's hoping these last for a least a couple of years!

I bought these for my wife and she can't stop raving about them. They are much easier to clean than other brushes. Plus they won't melt -- or at least at any temperature we have. I used the one for the grill and was also really happy with it.

I like using these silicone brushes, and I know they will hold up well in the long run. The pastry brush in the set is identical in every way, shape, and form to a Norpro silicone pastry brush that I'd been using for several years--the only difference is the name stamped on the wooden handle! :D
But these are very useful, do the job they were intended for, and clean up great. I bought this set because I wanted a variety of sizes, and this fits the bill.

I had seen silicone basting brushes in use by others and wanted to try one, so after I bought a Le Creuset Silicone Jar Scraper, which I liked a lot, I bought this set. The handles are an older style than Le Creuset's new "Evolution" series, but for my purposes it was ok. I tried out one of the brushes and it worked very nicely as well as cleaning easily. Unlike with regular bristle brushes, most of the sauce got transferred to the food rather than sticking in the bristles. As shown in the picture, the largest brush has a leather thong on the handle, presumably for use with grill utensils.
As described, the brush head is removable so that you can run it through the dishwasher, but I worry that it won't hold as tightly if that is done and it's no chore to hand-wash the whole thing.

I like the silicon but not too crazy about the wood handles. I wish they were metal or something else.

First let me say that these are so good looking that I want to have them out on display instead of stashed away in a drawer. Second, these utensils are MUCH easier to maintain then even the best kitchen available. Just rinse them in some soapy water, and they are ready to go; no problem with caking and days to dry. Lastly, they were a good deal, even better than what I could get at my local outlet mall. Highly recommended.
