5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing stock pot
One of my most cherished possessions is my mom's 6 quart Le Creuset turquoise dutch oven that she got when she married my dad in 1952. When I needed a bigger pot, I went to Le Creuset, but was worried that the newer product would never equal the quality of the vintage stuff.

2.0 out of 5 stars Beware
This is not made in France -- most of the Le Creuset line is from a centuries-old factory in France; this pot is not. When I saw where it was made, I returned it. Buyer beware.

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing stock pot, April 5, 2002

One of my most cherished possessions is my mom's 6 quart Le Creuset turquoise dutch oven that she got when she married my dad in 1952. When I needed a bigger pot, I went to Le Creuset, but was worried that the newer product would never equal the quality of the vintage stuff.

Boy, was I wrong. This pot is amazing! The quality is evident from the look and heft of the pot, and it's performance is equal to or better than my vintage pot. I'm no gourmet, but if you cook soups, stews or pasta for crowds, this one is for you.

I love this stockpot and wish I had bought it years ago. It is everything I hoped it would be and more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wife very pleased with this Stockpot, January 11, 2009

It's a great stockpot. It is heavy enough to make it durable, and the blue color adds a splash of color to our kitchen.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far I love it, October 3, 2011
This one wasn't my favorite color, but it was a fraction of the price of the other colors. So far I love this stock pot! I feel like I'm on a cooking show when I'm using it.

First I ordered one (dune color, more expensive) through Bed Bath & Beyond and it came chipped, so I returned it. This one from Amazon came intact. I ordered one for myself, and two for wedding presents.

Be careful as the handle on top can screw off easily, so make sure to tighten it from time to time with a simple twist.

I bought this for sweet corn and it works PERFECTLY.

I can boil up to a dozen and a half ears in this.

I love Le Creuset...and this pot!

5.0 out of 5 stars Attractive, lightweight, easy to use, November 28, 2010

I love Le Creuset pieces but some are so heavy they are a bit of a pain to work with. This stock pot is lightweight, consistent in appearance with other Le Creuset items, and easy to work with. Its shape is right for stock and it cleans up easily in the dishwasher. The inside is not a non-stick surface per se (i.e. not like Teflon or the like) but is very smooth and thus food tends not to adhere. Great price for a quality Le Creuset item. You do need to remember that b/c this is a stock pot, not a heavy-bottomed pot, if you heat spaghetti sauce or something else prone to burning you will want low heat (or to use another pot).

My wife loves this pot. It stays out on the stove at all times because it's a nice piece of kitchen ware. Well made, sturdy, and attractive.

1.0 out of 5 stars THREE chipped stockpots delivered so far, November 17, 2010

I have had an extremely frustrating experience with this product. I have had to send back THREE pots so far, all of them have arrived with multiple chips in the enamel, some of which have been hastily painted over with enamel paint which not only doesn't match the color of the pot, it is obviously brushed on and scratches right off. Amazon has not been very helpful in resolving this issue by sending me a pot without chips, and Le Creuset has been no more helpful either. If I am going to spend $100 and pay full price for this stockpot, it should not have chips in it. That's what "outlet" stores with cheaper prices are for!

I love Le Creuset's enamal on cast iron cookware, but I'm completely disappointed by this product so far. Six weeks since the original order and I still don't have a pot for making soup.
