I like the kettle, but it does rust,

I like this kettle, but it does need some TLC. It can rust if water is left in it, and it shouldn't be stored on the stove while other cooking is going on since the enamel can rust. It is very good looking and the whistle is nice and loud.

I love the color and style of this teakettle, however, only after a month of use the enamel inside the kettle degraded and black paint and decorative metallic particles were leaking in my tea. I never abused it though! Highly disappointed!

I rec'd this kettle and was pleased with the color and weight.
However after only 2 months of limited use I noticed the enamel on the bottom edge was chipped in a couple of places. It sits on my stove and is used only a couple of times a week. I can't understand how it was chipped by being filed with water or placed on a stove. Not banged. The enamel is not a good choice, I will go back to all metal.
