Beautiful dutch oven and so easy to clean. Make sure to order the metal knob if ordering any of the LeCreuset items

This pot is the centerpiece of my kitchen. It is the only thing I permanently keep on the stovetop, partly because I use it so much, partly because it's heavy and more convenient there, and partly because it's beautiful. I have always opted for red and orange in my other enameled cast iron pieces but realized that just about all food looks more beautiful against the white enamel, especially greens. It does stain a little more noticeably than other colors but mine simply looks nice and well-used after several years of repeat use. There are no chips and no major scratches to the interior.

I mostly make soups and stews, and occasionally roast a chicken, and this pot has been the perfect size. It does sometimes feel a little small if I am cooking for guests as well. 9 times out of 10 the size is ideal though, whether the pot is half full or completely full. I don't find it overly heavy when empty, and have still been able to lift it when completely full. There are so many wonderful things you can do with a french oven. I haven't challenged myself to try many of them, but I like knowing that's an option. It is just a great, heavy duty and high quality pot for your regular day to day cooking, and it has the potential to do all sorts of other cool things like baking bread if you're inspired to do so. I don't know if these can actually be used on an open fire like a traditional dutch oven but that would be cool too. It's not just a pot, but also a roaster, casserole, baking dish, and probably much more.

This is a very useful pot for making stews for six or more people (or two with lots of leftovers.) Even with 3 lbs of meat and lots of veggies, the pot is just half to two thirds full. If you are filling your smaller dutch ovens up to the brim, then this is the size for you. Love the color.
