What can I say! It an original, made in France, Le Creuset. The quality speaks for itself. I also was lucky to 'grab' it when it was on a 'lightning deal'. I only wish the oven were a little bigger. I own a larger size Le Creuset (it might be a 5 1/2 Qt size) and very happy with it. I guess I will be using this one for smaller vegetable or meat dishes.

This is an excellent price for this cast iron dutch oven. It is a bit small, but perfect for a tagine to feed four.

i admit to having spoiled myself a little with this piece. i have other le creuset dutch ovens, but larger and more practical sizes for making soups, stocks, and roasting whole birds etc. this one was really more of a vanity purchase for my countertop! ironically, i find that i'm using it more than my larger pieces cooking impromptu meals for two. like all le creuset it really does a great job of holding and evenly distributing heat. food stays hot for about half an hour after taking it out of the oven (with the lid on) which is great for going back for seconds.

Le Creuset French Oven: We've tried a handful of new recipes---stews, a whole chicken, pot roast, and three from-scratch soups. This item is so easy to use, so tenderizing to everything we've made, so convenient to serve and store foods and store the device (looks beautiful right on the stovetop), I wish we'd been turned on to this line ages ago. What a terrific wedding or anniversary gift, something to pass along to the next generations.

Heavy cast iron and enamel, perfectly balanced, hardy and classicly designed; it is equally appropriate at the blue jeans get together as for that special dinner, inside or out. Not a bad thing to say; wish we had a whole set.

I love Le Creuset when I want to braise something. This is a nice smaller oven, however, next time I would probably get the round size just because it fits over the burners better. This shape is good for browning multiple pieces though.

I love this product. I grew up with my mother using her old orange Le Creuset French Oven at least once a week. She could make anything tast good in it. Well now that I have my own place and have someone to cook for I also love to use this. Clean up is so easy! Le Creuset makes all their products well and strong! I am looking forward to getting more cookware products from them.

Like most other reviewers, I absolutetly love this small oval french oven pot. It is my third Le Creuset piece, the other two are large round french ovens and all are loved and used often.

Le Creuset is a high quality line and their enamel over iron is a breeze to clean up even after oven use or after hours of simmering a stew.

These pots heat up fast and hold their temperature evenly even when simmering over low temperatures. Their weight is an issue if loaded and you have some arthritis in which case, plan ahead! Get a volunteer to lift the loaded pot or help with the cleaning. Don't let their weight be a negative; this is a plus with using the iron pieces. These pots are wonderful and are really prized by all cooks!

This new 2-3/4 qt oval is a great "try me" size at a reasonable price. It is a great investment and will introduce you to the great Le Creuset line. Enjoy!

This French Oven is nothing less then perfect. It's a great size for a household of two adults. Or of course it could always be used for a side dish. No matter what, you won't be sorry if you purchase, Le Creuset makes excellent cookware. It will with hold the test of time.

I just love anything made by Le Creuset, and wish I could afford to buy their entire product line!
