5.0 out of 5 stars Great Casserole dish
This is my favorite casserole dish, because it looks beautiful on the table but is absolutely functional throughout the cooking process. The dish is not enameled cast iron like the pots, but ceramic, which means it does not offer the same kind of heat absorption as cast iron, but does allow you to put it in the microwave, etc. (although don't put it on the stovetop!).

1.0 out of 5 stars CRACK
This baking dish works very well until it cracks. I see other reviewers had the same problem. Mine lasted two years. For the price, that is not very long.

5.0 out of 5 stars Le Creuset is awesome stuff..., June 5, 2000
By A Customer
...and I like this dish the best. I use it for everything from baking chicken to scalloped potatos. As with all Le Creuset, this dish cleans up beautifully. Most of the time I just scrape off any caked on food, rarely have I needed to soak this dish. I really like Le Creuset and this is one of my favorite dishes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Upscale bakeware, August 20, 2005
By
I purchased this item based on the good reviews. I was primarily interested in purchasing an attractive dish. The red dish looks great -- perfect for oven-to-table use. It was a pleasant surprise to find that food turns out so much better than with the Pyrex I was using. It bakes even and food stays moist. It is very easy to clean.

5.0 out of 5 stars You'll never go back to Pyrex!, December 26, 2007

This review is from: Le Creuset Stoneware 12-1/2-by-9-1/2-Inch Rectangular Baking Dish, Cobalt Blue (Kitchen)
This baking dish is such a delight to use that I have since purchased several more Le Creuset pieces in various sizes. Anyone accustomed to using glass baking dishes will immediately notice how much easier Le Creuset is to clean. Just soak it for a little while in warm, soapy water and even baked-on residue will wash away with ease. Since we are so pleased with our own Le Creuset items, my wife and I now give these casseroles as wedding presents, Christmas gifts, etc. They are always very well received.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Bakeware!!!, November 8, 2008
A Kid's Review
This is some of the best bakeware. Never had any problems. When I use them I always put them on a baking sheet. This should prevent the random cracking a couple of other reviewers experienced.

I'm a true Longaberger fan, but since they're getting out of control on their prices lately, I thought I'd try something else. This piece by far is the ONLY piece of pottery that I've found that can stand up to Longaberger's quality. This dish cleans beautifully and holds a nice-sized lasagna. I'm very, very happy with it and only wish I'd found the Le Creuset brand before now. Grab this dish - it will quickly become your favorite! I love the color!

1.0 out of 5 stars Do Not Purchase Their Stoneware, May 28, 2007

Their cast iron ware is fine but not their stoneware. Like the other reviewer mine cracked down the middle on 350 degrees in the oven the second time I used it. It really bummed me out to have spent so much time and money on that dish to have the bakeware crack an ruin my dinner party. I have two other large pieces in my cabinet collecting dust as I refuse to use them and go through that again.

Save your money and stick to higher end stoneware or go for the reasonable priced corning ware. In 40 years it has always performed well.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed, May 30, 2008
This review is from: Le Creuset Stoneware 12-1/2-by-9-1/2-Inch Rectangular Baking Dish, Cobalt Blue (Kitchen)
It cracked completely in half and broke into two pieces in a 350 degree oven. I even placed the dish in a cold oven as directions state. I emailed the company and received no response. I do not recommend any Le Creuset Stoneware. I own a couple more pieces of stoneware, and I'am afraid to use it now. Afraid it will also break in half and ruin another meal.

I have 20-24 pieces fo Le Creuset potterie, ramekins to baking dishes; a great compliment to my Le Creuset ironware and enamel on steel

A great value when compared to Emile Henry pottery

You can serve it right from the oven to the table.
