5.0 out of 5 stars well yes they are small
These are awesome dishes. Yes they are small and so perfectly suited to certain uses.
I can't believe somebody rated them one star because they are small.
I mean, the measurements are stated right in the description. You can hardly blame the product for not being what you hoped it might be when it was clearly described.

1.0 out of 5 stars Happy until item cracked in half in oven
I wonder has anyone else had this problem. I purchased about a year ago & was excited that this could be used in a hotter oven. I was using the other day in a 425 degree oven when I heard a noise & was shocked to see that it has split about halfway & all the way through. I now had two approximately equal pieces. Would really like to hear if this is just a freak...

This review is from: Le Creuset Stoneware 1-1/4-Quart Rectangular Baker with Bonus 16-Ounce Rectangular Baker, Kiwi (Kitchen)
Le Creuset's 1-1/4Quart baker is the perfect size for the fresh lasagne sheets available in most supermarkets. And is also the right size for 2 entree servings of stuffed pastas with a generous amount of filling and sauce, or 4 dessert portions of cobblers.

The bonus baker is the perfect size for 1 large entree or 2 servings of baked dessert.

The pottery heats evenly and is attractive enough to be brought directly to the table. It is available in all the Le Creuset colors plus white and black to coordinate with your current set of dishes. They are also easy to wash and anything stuck on comes off easily with a short soaking.

Highly reccomended.

I LOVE these products. The colors are splendid. They are easy to clean...just throw 'em in the dishwasher with no worries! The sizes are perfect for cooking for small families or side dishes. Looks great even next to my collection of Pampered Chef stoneware.

5.0 out of 5 stars Small but perfect, October 24, 2009

Read the dimensions so you're not disappointed (the interior of the big one's about the same size as a shoebox lid, if you're looking for a comparison) -- I knew what I was getting and I love them. For a family used to cooking large meals, these might be too small, but they're great for a couple.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love them!, November 1, 2006

As another person said, the small one is small but good enough for two people. As for the larger one, it is a great size! Especially for brownies! I couldn't believe how easy it was to clean them! I'm going to throw my Pyrex bakeware out and just get more of these!

The sizes are ideal for a light dinner for two plus a dessert (I added a few pics so people can get a better idea of the size of these bakers). My only disappointment was that I was under the impression all Le Crueset items are created in France. Even though the box informed me that it was created according to specifications ordered by Le Crueset, I guess the only way to really know is to compare them with the other cookware I own. The bakeware is beautifully finished, almost flawless from what I can see so far as I took them right out of the box. I shall post here again somewhere down the line if they worked out or not.

The two sizes make for a very nice presentation for two people meals (I was recently diagnosed with pre-diabetes and have been reducing meal portion size). I just made a fruit crisp for two in the smaller one and was quite pleased with how it turned out.

For [...], these adorable kiwi colored stoneware baking dishes are great! I've been a big fan of Le Creuset for a while, and find that I can get an even bake everytime.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT PRODUCT, January 9, 2007
This review is from: Le Creuset Stoneware 1-1/4-Quart Rectangular Baker with Bonus 16-Ounce Rectangular Baker, Kiwi (Kitchen)
I purchased the Le Creuset Baker with the bonus 16 oz baker and they are great. They can easily go from the oven to the table. The 1-1/4 baker is best for cooking meals for 1-2 people because you can fit about 2 chicken breasts in the baker. The 16 oz baker is also great for cooking small desserts and vegetables. Overall great products!
