The largest of three sizes offered by Le Creuset, the jar holds up to 28 ounces of dried herbs, tea, sugar, coffee, candies, and plenty of other treasures, both edible and inedible. A silicone seal on the lid helps keep the contents fresh. Made in France of high-fired stoneware with a non-porous enamel glaze, the jar won't absorb odors or flavors, resists staining and chipping, and is dishwasher-safe. A choice of colors embellishes the exterior of the jar and lid in a graded fashion, from dark to light. The interior is glazed a neutral tone.

I love Le Creuset. Their products are consistent and always of high quality.

I ordered three of these large spice jars to have next to my stove for my everyday most used spices. They are generous in size, obviously not fitting on a traditional spice rack. They are more for countertop or shelf use. The top is sealed snuggly , but are easily removed.

The red is traditional Le Creuset red and matches my existing pieces. They are beautiful and look great in my kitchen.
