I love these guys for kosher salt in the white one and I also have an older brown one that isn't available anymore. It holds coarse pepper. They are just the right size and have a good seal.

Perfect size for keeping salt next to the stove or cooking area. Looks great next to the large Le Creuset canisters!

I bought this originally to be my new salt-crock ... but I was finding it annoying that I had to fill this thing up constantly with salt (and I don't cook with a Tbl of salt each night) ... so I quickly ordered the 14 ounce version of this exact color and now I use this one for pepper. LOVE IT!!!

We use this jar to store sea salt on the counter which makes for easy access when cooking. The silicone around the lid creates a seal that helps to keep the moisture out. I personally think this jar is too large to hold spices - I do not keep 7 ounces of one type of spice round because it would go stale before it is used up.

These are just the right size to use for salt and pepper during cooking. The lid also seals these perfectly so that moisture doesn't get in either. My only mistake was not buying them in different colors to be able to tell them apart.

What can I say, it is Le Creuset. I will use this as a ground pepper cellar. Already have one I use as a salt cellar and dearly love it. I like the idea of having a lid on it that has to be taken off with both hands as no humidity gets inside. Am contemplating getting more so that I can use the various salts on the market. I buy in different colors so I know which one to grab.
