5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely story of belonging and the power of music.
This animated short tells a lovely story of belonging and the power of music that is appealing to all ages six and over. A bonus is the setting in New York City's subways.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wish they'd make a better version!
I am a teacher who reads this book to my class every year. I show the movie and this is a terrible version. They leave out almost the whole story, and change the rest. It is such a great book and I think they could have done a better job on the video. I am always hoping a newer and better version is made.

I bought this for my 4th grade students, and they loved it! We read the story first and compared it to the video. It would be great, if it was on DVD.

This animated classic of a beloved tale is both heartwarming and true. It is similar to the book but it is obviously a shorter version. All of the main characters are there, oddly their faces are not shown, but their voices each unique, allow much for the imagination. I would not hesitate to purchase this story.

This is a truly beautiful short film. If you ignore the book and just enjoy it for what it is, you'll see how marvelous it is.

This is a great video. My three year old loves it and takes it to her day-care to share with her friends there. It's a wonderful story and the art is adorable. Of course, I love it too, and remember it well from my own childhood. Still a joy to watch.
