5.0 out of 5 stars How Emma Got Her Groove Back., June 18, 2004

This single is so strong, I prefer to think of it as a mini album in itself. "Crickets Sing For Anamaria" is a wonderful song, possibly the strongest off the "Free Me" album, with it's latin jazz feel. But the bonus tracks are equally spectacular! "Eso Beso" is a fantastic flirty latin song on par with "Maybe", Emma's wonderful second single. "So Nice" is a classic Bossa Nova tune that nicely continues the sultry mood. "Element's Crickets Dance On Tequila Booty" is just pure fun, combining Emma's song with that good ol' party classic "Tequila" to great effect! Emma continues to go from strength to strength. This is her forth single and it may just be her best yet. Sweet yet seductive, summery latin pop and jazz, there's not a single misstep here! She has found her niche. She performs this material extremely well, and it captures all her talents. Keep it coming!

5.0 out of 5 stars If u like the single, BUY THE ALBUM!! frmr Spice Girl hater, June 8, 2005

Okay, a friend of mine wanted the single of "Crickets Sing for Anamaria". When I went to a site to download the single, several people were saying what a great album it was, so I figured, eh, what the heck... and I downloaded the whole thing.

WHAT A SHOCK TO ME (a total loather of anything spice). Not only does this remake of a retro classic kick but Emma's entire album kicks butt with a throw-back to funkadelick pop of the 60s. Her voice is smackin' and smooth with a major flavor of Olivia Newton-John steaming through.

SHE SOUNDS GREAT and I hope she keeps moving in this direction. Production is top notch. I wish more American pop artists (male or female) would put out an album like this and return some fun and funk to the pop airwaves. You go Emma... you got a new fan, here....!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars DEFINITELY ONE OF EMMA'S BEST (EVER!)..., June 10, 2004

One of my absolute faves from Emma's new album! It's more than obvious that Emma has worked very hard to capture the essense of 60's pop, and has brilliantly succeeded. I haven't heard the Latino version of "Maybe" yet, but I bet it's outstanding! I think more Anglo artists should re-record their music in Spanish. It's a beautiful language that's spoken by millions around the world.

The album itself is just so excellent, it'll be nice when it's actually released outside the UK. With Simon Fuller setting up his record label in the US, 'Maybe' Emma will get her chance to fly over here. Until then, I hope as many people as possible get to experience Emma's fantastic new music.
