Extremely consoling - a wonderful source of strength, April 6, 1999

This review is from: Cries of the Heart: Praying Our Losses (Paperback)
This book is a wonderful find. It is poignant and provides amazing comfort to those who have suffered some sort of loss. It is the only book I have ever found which I feel comfortable giving to someone who is grieving. There's something in this book for everyone. I usually keep a stock of about 5 on hand so that I can provide one to friends/coworkers who are grieving.

Sent by a friend, this book most closely speaks to the emotions of loss, especially immediately after. Having lost my wife one month ago, I find it more relevant than the ones recommended by the "professionals". Not comforting, because there is no comfort, but giving a sense that you are not alone.
