Review
"This text is one of the best applied texts on the market. It has a fine blend of theory with real-life situations and circumstances, and the examples are exceptional and up-to- date."--Stan Hodges,
Texas A&M University-Kingsville"This book combines legal theory and practice with the study of criminology, which is rarely done, and rarely done well, as it is here. A student reading this textbook will get a full analysis of criminology's history, as well as discover the sociological, psychological, and economic factors that contribute to the study of criminology. Too many textbooks fail to explain criminology with this kind of depth and attention to detail, yet the book is not overbearing or off-putting--it is challenging without being difficult."--Cary Federman,
Montclair State University
