Book Description

9 and upCrime Files: Four-Minute Forensic Mysteries
An updated version of Donold Sobol's TWO-MINUTE MYSTERIES, investigated by a CSI using modern forensic techniques rather than old-fashioned sleuthing.

Four-minute forensic mysteries are solved by a cast of quirky but lovable characters. Their wisecracking leader is CSI Wes Burton who carries his evidence-gathering tools with him to each crime scene and loves his work solving problems. Crime scenes include everything from exploding flour in a restaurant kitchen, to a boy who lies about eating a piece of cake, to a man who dies accidentally while tanning himself. Burton and his coworkers use science to prove that strangulation with a towel leaves unique imprints, that antique flowers are deadly, and that insects can tell a good story.

This book is a mystery and adventure type of book. The setting was either the autopsy room or the crime scene it was never the same setting. The conflict was the crime and the resolution was the conclusion such as the jail sentcing. This book was a great book the mystery never stoped which made it hard to stop reading.I suggest this book to anyone who loves a mystery and a anwser to it

3.0 out of 5 stars 5th grader G says good change of pace from longer stories, October 17, 2010

This review is from: Crime Files: Four-minute Forensic Mysteries: Body of Evidence (Paperback)
This is a short story book about CSI Wes Burton and his partners as they solve mysteries. His partners are: Detective Erin Radley. She likes to interrogate criminals with kindness. Detective Frank Gibson. He likes to interrogate criminals by using intimidation. Mike Trellis. Trellis is Burtons CSI assistant. And Ed. Ed, short for Exhibit D, is a border collie who helps Burton on some mysteries.
The mysteries in the book get harder and harder as the book progresses. I think the author wrote it like that to make people think that they should keep reading.

My favorite mystery is called "First Degree Birder". That mystery was hard to solve, had a good story behind it, and had a surprising end.

The worst mystery is called "The Defense Rests In Peace". This mystery was way too easy to solve, had a bad story, and was just plain boring.
The funniest mystery is called "Donut Assume". It had a very funny plot; someone had blown up a donut shop!
I like how that there is a new story every mystery. Not one big story through the whole book.
