5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome book! Lots of useful information.!
This book provides all the basic information in criminal justice. It is clear and doesn't go above your head with technical lingo. I had Joel Samaha as a professor at the University of Minnesota and he is very knowledgable in his area. This book is filled with useful information if you are persuing a career in law enforcement. 3.0 out of 5 stars Criminal Justice; Joel Samaha 7th ed.
I received this book and it has quite a few more markings and dings on it than I had expected. However, it will suffice for class.

I had Joel Samaha as a professor at the University of Minnesota and he is very knowledgable in his area. This book is filled with useful information if you are persuing a career in law enforcement. I would recommend this book to anyone who is just starting out in a intro. to crimal justice class. It also comes in handy as reference for those who are more advanced. I often use it to brush up on facts in my upper division courses. It's worth the price!

4.0 out of 5 stars An useful tool in understanding Criminal Justice, October 24, 1998

This review is from: Criminal Justice (Hardcover)
This book was a required text in my Criminal Justice class at Stephen F Austin State University. The class was based entirely on the text. Upon completion of the class I was pleased with the ammount of information that I had learned. I found it so interesting, I am planning on becoming a police officer myself, and will be attending the academy in January. I would suggest this book to anyone who wants to teach a basic Criminal Justice class, or just wants to learn more about the subject on thier own.

If your professor isn't using this book, shame on them. This book is written in clear, concise language that any student at this level can understand. I'm using it now, and my class is based entirely on this text. Lots of useful information. I actually like reading it.
