From the Back Cover

Now in its second edition, Criminal Justice: Mainstream & Crosscurrents offers a contemporary textbook option for your Introduction to Criminal Justice course. Building upon John Fuller’s experience as a criminal justice practitioner, scholar and teacher, the book asks students to think about the goals and processes of the criminal justice system and introduces them to important ethical dilemmas faced by criminal justice professionals.  Using an enhanced crosscurrents theme, it shows the complexities of the criminal justice discipline and encourages students to think critically about alternative ways of enforcing law and determining justice in the United States.

Good text book, but it's written at the high school level. It is an entry level book, but it works.

Most textbooks are written in the same bland, monotonous tone. This one is not. There is a steady stream of information contained in this text, but the author doesn't cram it all down your throat; he gives it to you in doses surrounded by anecdotes and examples. A very easy read.

I bought this textbook for my college course and saved a bunch of money rather than buying it through my colleges store. It came in the exact condition as described on amazon and I was happy with the savings.
