I have used this book as a reference in all of my criminal justice courses. That is how invaluable this book is. Schmalleger is on point with the topics and very informative for those new to criminal justice. One of my favorite resources. Index is easy to use and there is even the Bill of Rights. A must have if you are curious to know how the system works.

I bought this book as the E-book offered by my class was not to my liking . It is a bit dry, as most textbooks are but well written, packed with information, examples that are recent help clarify the text as well. It covers every step of criminal justice from history of and its beginnings and then a step by step through the arrest, court workings and positions, sentencing and prison, again showing the changes through the ages.

The book arrived quickly, and I still for the life of me would like to know who used it before. It was brand spanking new. No highlighting or writing inside. The cover was perfect, no torn or bent pages. I was completely amazed!!

this book is in wonderful condition, and I recieved it within a timely fashion. if you are in school as an adult, you want to save all you can. Thank Amazon for Having just what I needed.

My school bookstore wanted $150 for this text and while they provided it online (since I am taking online classes), an actual book makes it easier to get the reading done. I got it for roughy 15% of what my bookstore wanted and this is a brand new book, not used.

This book was in excellent condition & price was the best look forward to buying all my books at amazon. com

Book was in very good condition. I was very satisfied when I received it. The pages were intact with no tearing, highlighting was to a bare minimum.

I am currently taking Criminal Justice Courses at Utica College. This textbook was very informative. This is a great resource for anyone interested in learning about the law.

The book is in good shape, the price is worth it. Arrived here in the time promised and in great condition.
