I feel that this book is a good introduction to criminal law. While it is true that it may not go into great detail about the subject, I do not believe that it was the author's intent to write such a book. Samaha provides the information in a way that students that are not law students can read and understand. When reviewing a textbook it is important to consider who the author's intended audience is. One cannot blame the text or the author if a college or university picks the wrong book for a certain level of class.

Great for those who like to read about criminal law or those who are still in school involving a career related with criminal law. Presents many court cases that help to explain all the chapters material.

So far the book has good case law examples. The problem like every other text book is that it is not state specific. I wished law classes were more specific to the state that you work in. That's not the books fault though.

I had finally convinced my boyfriend to purchase is textbooks for school through Amazon; he had me make the purchases, but waited until almost the last minute to make them and I was worried that all the hype I had given Amazon would appear untrue. NOT SO! I am never let down when I make purchase and would recommend this seller and item to anyone.

I received the book in three days exactly how it was described. I would defintiley purchase from this seller again.
