Happy User,
By Brown v. Board (Florida) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Criminal Procedure (CrunchTime) (Paperback)
The Crunch Time series is great for the Law School Exams-- the "cheater" charts are especially helpful. I'm glad that I held on to the
Crim Pro and Evidence books. In my work as a JAG attorney, I have found that they are perfect memory joggers to help with my part-time prosecution duties.

Great Study Aide,
This review is from: CrunchTime Criminal Procedure (Paperback)
I really love the CrunchTime series, it has saved my butt several times so far in law school. The Criminal Procedure book is one of the more helpful editions because of the nature of the topic; code and enumerated laws.

not current edition,
This review is from: Criminal Procedure (Casenote Legal Briefs) (Paperback)
Be warned: this is not keyed to the current edition of this text book. Since many of the cases in the text book are very recent, this supplement is almost useless. wait for the next edition.

I would just point out that the book is not without errors - the end of chapter quiz yourself questions on more than one occasion directly contradicted the information given in the preceding chapter. So don't rely on this book as gospel, make sure that what's in the book is confirmed by your professor.

This review is from: Criminal Procedure (Law in a Flash Cards) (Cards)
I'm a big fan of the Law in a Flash series. These cards make for a great supplemental study aid. The best feature, in my opinion, is the "scenario" questions. These are like mini-fact patterns designed to get you thinking about one particular issue. I've found these to help get my mind around particular topics in a format conducive to an essay style exam (which all of my instructors use). I do wish that the cards had some more "concept w/definition" cards (where one side gives a word, concept, or issue, and the answer side has a rote definition), but it's not a major issue. I also do think that there was a bit too much repetition at times, and the product could have been pared down a bit. But maybe that repetition helps some people, despite annoying people like me.

This review is from: Criminal Procedure (Emanuel Law Outline) (Paperback)
It is a very thorough commercial outline. However, there are many details that are being left out. In brief, it is not a perfect substitute for actual textbooks.

In addition to my previous review regarding the lengh of time it took to get the book, I was sent a used book. When I emailed the seller, it was insulting to be asked how I knew the book was used. Apparently, they checked the book before shipping and considered it "new". Why would they need to check a book that's new? In addition, the book was purchased at St. Thomas Univ., located in the city where I live. I would assume that the book was purchased from a St. Thomas University Law school student so how could it possibly be considered new? Besides that, the hightlights and writing are extremely visible. In all fairness, the seller offered to refund what I paid plus reasonable shipping costs. I am in law school. I work full time. I have a child. Ordering on the internet is easy. Finding time to run to the post office, not so easy. In any event, because I've had the book for awhile now, I'll keep it. So to the seller, even though you did not treat me, as your customer, with any honesty, I will do the right thing and keep the USED book you sent me. Buyer beware!!!
