Many people belived that Manfreed Mann's Earth Band called it quits after The Roaring Silence, and who could blame them. After the sucess of the single Blinded by the Light, Not much was heard from the band. They continued making albums, but the music publics taste were constantly changing, and Manfred MAnn's music was left in the way side.But in 1986, The Band came out with an effort that is unbelieveable to the ears. This album should have put Manfred Mann back on the map, but sadly they didnt have the push from a major reord label to get them noticed. This album is full of energy, and is complimented from the vocals of Chris Thompson, who sang on Blinded by the Light. Every song has an interesting hook, especially Do Anything You want to do, The Beatlesque Talk to me, The driving Myster kids and etc. You will discover what the 80's were all about on this cd. A masterpiece from the closet

Spirit of old MMEB is almost gone.More it is like tipical 80's pop-rock.
Kind of dissapoitment,but not totally.

Since Manfred Mann became progressive, he and his band have been able to provide us with great music. This CD is no exception despite being more on the commercial side. Being partial to good vocals, I recommend this CD since Chris Thomson is at the mike.

I was so happy to get this remaster with bonus tracks of what I feel to be a great CD by Manfred Mann Earthband. So I am listening along and right at the very last track ( an alternative single version of "Going Underground" ) I get this error at 2:55 mins and the music just cuts out entirely. The counter keeps going to 3 mins then it stops. Now this happens right in the mid melody and I've heard literally over 30 thousand songs so I know when something is just cut verses some unique ending. Anyone else find this odd manufacture defect on their copy? The last seconds of the last song.

Otherwise, this is a great remaster with 3 bonus cuts that are actually super, if not for the defect on one of them.

I am a long time fan and tried to get this album for many years, before I finally did. I was not disappointed ! It was dissappointing to find that I had such trouble because there was no record company in the U.S. with the wisdom to market the album. This was the most pop sounding album in years and I think the public should have been given the chance to hear a few songs at the very least! Thanks to on line ordering we fans can make our own choices

An excellent collection of Tangos, complete with gun shots, occasional lyrics, all in all -- wonderful music for anything -- whether you can dance to it or can't.
