5.0 out of 5 stars A Must-Read for Pandora Hearts Fans, January 17, 2011
This review is from: Crimson-Shell (Paperback)
This is a one-shot manga by the author of "Pandora Hearts", which happens to be one of my favorite series. Some of the characters in here do indeed look like the characters in "Pandora Hearts" ( for example, Claudia looks like Alice, Shion looks like Oz, etc.). Nevertheless, Crimson Shell is a really good story about a lonely, secretive girl, red and black roses, betrayal, and the pain of losing the one you care about most. The artwork is wonderful, the characters engaging, and the story interesting, dark, and painful. I suggest that you, especially if you like the works by Jun Mochizuki, should read this book. You won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Read, Fantastic to the very last page., May 5, 2011

This review is from: Crimson-Shell (Paperback)
If you are a Pandora Hearts fan this a must, I believe this actually came out before Pandora Hearts did tough. Right off the bat people who have read Pandora Hearts are going to recognize some of the characters because they look like their Pandora Hearts Counterparts. But don't let that confuse anyone, these characters are original and play nothing like their Pandora Hearts look-a-likes.

Alright getting past that the story is a solid read, and it's a one shot so there is no series following up on it. The character development throughout the story is fantastic and you're going to care what happens to them.

Throughout the story you're going to cross many themes, that of love, betrayal, and losing someone you love very much. I thought the story was well done and I loved the ending.

I highly recommend it.
