4.0 out of 5 stars Delightful Story
This is a wonderful, young adult tale consistant with the TV-series created by Constance Burge. Three sisters, Prue, Piper, and Phoebe, become aware that a trusted friend is actually a warlock in disguised, plotting to steal the powers of the Charmed ones. But who is it? Enjoy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Enough to keep Charmed fans satisfied
I got into Charmed quite unexpectedly, having shown no previous interest in it before. Of course, I got into it AFTER it had finished, so have been busy collecting the TV shows (just have to see season 8 now) and now I've started on the books. (That could take a while though.)

Crimson Spell focuses on all the Charmed ones, being infiltrated by a coven of...

5.0 out of 5 stars Breathtaking, August 24, 2000
This review is from: The Crimson Spell (Charmed) (Mass Market Paperback)
I love all the Charmed books and of course the show... It seems that every book I read gets better. This is book nr. 3 and I am left wanting for more. This is a good Piper book although they are all featured. And as Piper is my favorit I enjoyed the story around her. I you are a fan, read this book, if not, read it anyway and you will become one...

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Charmed Ones' friends is trying to betray them..., July 23, 2000
This review is from: The Crimson Spell (Charmed) (Mass Market Paperback)
When Piper volunteers to be a mentor at a halfway home for homeless kids, meaning she'll be a sort of "big sister" to a young teenage girl living there, her sisters Prue and Phoebe aren't so sure that's a good idea. Prue and Phoebe are afraid that Celeste, the girl Piper has been assigned to, will find out their identity as witches. But Celeste seems to be a nice kid who just got a bad lot in life. It's Daria, Celeste's roommate at the home, that Piper and her sisters are suspicious of. She seems to be dabbling in the dark arts - could she be involved with warlocks? Or could it be Phoebe's new boyfriend, Kenji? Or Prue's new friend, Adrienne, who works at a magic ship? All the Halliwell sisters know for sure is that someone is after them - and that someone wants their powers bad enough to kill them. I highly reccomend this exciting edition to the Charmed novel series. The ending was the total opposite of what I expected.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and true to the series., April 1, 2004
This review is from: The Crimson Spell (Charmed) (Mass Market Paperback)
I enjoyed this book in the same fashion I enjoy the series as a light-hearted guilty pleasure. The writing veers to the slightly cheesy "Fear not!" "The witches must be destroyed!" but then again so does the dialogue and on the show ;)

Fortunately the author also pokes fun of the cheesier aspects of the series with gems such as:

Bad guy: "You may address me as Master."

Piper: "Master of what? Hokey Halloween costumes?"

It's a fun read and very true to the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best, June 11, 2002
By
This review is from: The Crimson Spell (Charmed) (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this book awhile ago and I have now read all of the Charmed books. This in my opinion is one of the best. In this book a coven of warlocks is trying to kill and take the charmed ones powers. They turn the charmed ones powers against them. So instead of freezing things Piper speeds things up. Also all the spells they say do just the opposite. A woman working at a local Wicca store befriends one of the charmed ones. She does however turn out to be someone who is trying to kill them. But this person turns nice and try's to help them. The coven is called the coven of the New Sun. They get power from a crystal that absorbs witches powers. There are others that turn on the charmed ones...........but I think I have said too much already I don't want to ruin the story. Enjoy ^_^

A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Crimson Spell (Charmed) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book was very exciting, I have read it two times already!! It has many twists and turns and you will get a big surprise at the end. I recommend this book for ten year olds and up. If you haven't watched the Tv show or read on of the books, then this is the story: It's about 3 sisters who are good witches with special powers and they have to protect people from evil demons, warlocks or monsters.

For anyone who is a fan of Charmed this book is a must read. So far out of the other Charmed books this one is my favorite, all three sisters have great storylines that all intertwined together, the story is always moving, there is great use of irony and it builds to a fantastic climax, so well described it is so easy to imagine. I definately recomend this book.

This review is from: The Crimson Spell (Charmed) (Mass Market Paperback)
The girls start off in a quiet period with nothing evil hunting them down. Or so they thought. Now a coven of warlocks is hunting them with one warlock disguised as a friend. Prue meets someone in a Wiccan shop, Piper meets a young girl in a halfway house, where she signed up to be a big sister, and Phoebe meets a young man who does karate with her. Their biggest challenge is to find out who's a threat and who's really their friend.

This book was one of my favorites out of the 8 books I read so far. Even though this book is more for younger readers I still like it and I can read it over and over again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Thrilling, January 16, 2002

This review is from: The Crimson Spell (Charmed) (Mass Market Paperback)
The Charmed Ones in a thriller that is too nerve-consuming to be on tv! Part of the story is foresee-able yet still a "must read on" while other would-be-predictable twists turn out to be quite differently from the expected!
