To bad this light DOES NOT fit the Glock 21 SF because it is a nice compact light. I called Crimson Trace and they are aware it should NOT list 21 SF. They "thought" it would but after testing in-house they found out like all 21 SF owners that does not work. Hope they remove that model before more people waiste their time like I did.

I received the package on time and packaged well. The LightGuard installed on my Glock 19 very quickly using the included screws and tool. It actually snaps into place so you know it's designed for this weapon. One of the reasons I chose this over a Streamlight or similar competitor is that this light does not stick out. It is also not wider than the slide.

Last night when the house was dark, I decided to test it out (unloaded of course). Your middle finger triggers the light without thinking. It lit up my hallway better than the regular hall lights. I have not shot it with the light on as of yet, but I am confident there will not be any issues.

Thus far I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this light. The only issue I can think of now is that I will need to find a new holster.

I love Crimson Trace products. I have several others - both lasers and lights and they are all great. I was really disappointed when I got this and found it didn't fit my Glock 21SF. The Amazon description (along with many others out there) is incorrect in stating it fits the 21SF. I verified this with Crimson Trace plus they don't state the LTG-736 fits the 21SF on their web site. I copied their response to me below for reference.

"Thank you for your inquiry. The Lightguard does not fit the 21SF, that model has a thicker and wider trigger guard.
If we can be of further assistance, please call our customer service team at (800) 442-2406 between 7am and 5pm, Pacific Time Zone, Monday through Friday.

Have a wonderful day!

I read a lot of the complaints about how others had to change their grip just to hold or accommodate or even use the light guard, which I can understand.. To an extent. I also read how others were worried about or said they encountered the problem of setting off the light as they go to draw from their holster. i have not had this problem even once so far. the only thing i would say is that when i want to use the light, i have to put a bit more pressure in my grip with my middle finger than I am used to, to make sure the light comes on and Stays on! In the beginning as I was getting used to the new set up, the light would flicker if I wasn't using the same intense grip that activating my light requires. I am a pretty experienced shooter with 8 years in the Marines and 2 years in the overseas contracting business for diplomatic security. The light guard is a tool. It will work well for some and not for others. Or you can make it work for you, or you can just complain about how much it affects the grip you were used to having on your stock pistol. After much deliberation and reviews of other products, I settled on the lightguard bc of its streamlined and compact features.i own a surefire weapon light, I've used stream light and the whole bunch, and they are all great. But since this goes on the glock 17 and 19 that I carry concealed. I wanted the smallest light possible that could do the job. The lightguard delivers in that area. I gave 4 stars bc I think the pressure switch could've been designed a bit easier to operate, not requiring as much pressure as mine does, or that it could've been designed with an on/off click function.or, they could've made the pressure switch just a Liiiittle bit bigger, since some may find it hard to get adequate pressure on such a small surface. But all things considered, it does what I need it to do. Gives me the ability to bring light to any situation in a low/no light environment without adding a ton of bulk to my concealed firearm.

I was shocked by the amount of light that this tiny package is capable of throwing out. Lit up my hallway like a much larger handheld light would. On my G19 it comes right up to the edge of frame for a nice clean look. The added weight is barely perceptible. Now I'm just waiting for my new Crossbreed Supertuck holster to arrive to I can actually carry it!

Keep in mind this light WILL change your grip on your pistol. I really like the light and bought it for my Glock 19 but when I put it on I realized that my middle finger was shifted down significantly and my grip was off. I like the light and the convenience of being able to activate the light without using my trigger finger so much that I bought a Glock 17 and that has solved the problem.

Bought this for the glock 21SF, even though i knew it wasnt supposed to fit. With minor shaving off the base of the guard with a dremel tool or sandpaper, it went right on with no flaws

Unlike the laser grips this light guard made me change my grip with my fingers and would not stay on very well. I am sure if i trained everyday i might get it to work with confidence but i don't have the time or money for that. I used it on my glock 19 and it looked cool so that's the only reason i gave it 2 stars. your mileage may vary. I am returning this light guard right now thanks to amazon return policy.
