This is a very valuable item to add to your defensive handgun. Lasers do not replace the need to use your sights, but they have their place given a need for a quick "snap shot". Keep in mind that you sight the pistol and laser in at a given distance - when you are closer or further away the point of impact will be different. Take the time to learn the differences.

Does everything it is suppose to do and at a good price. Some people may prefer the more costly soft rubber overmold grips, but for a concealed carry, this is perfect.

After ordering, I was happy to find that after installation, my SW Model 642 still fit securely in my pocket and IWB holsters. Also, buck-n-does delivered the product within three days, at a great price, so I will order again.

Excellent product, fast delivery at a price below msrp! I'll return to Amazon.com.

the laser grips are nice and of good quality and workmanship. however paired with the 642 they did not meet my needs. they were more of a distraction than anything. with the long double action trigger pull of the revolver the laser danced all over the place and was hard to see. i found it much easier and accuracy to improve for me with just using iron sights. overall the distraction of the bouncing laser was the determining factor for me. I had the laser guard for another small .380 auto and came to the same conclusion for it and ended up selling both laser grips on a local gun forum. i will try more crimson trace products on some striker fired and 1911 style pistols in the future though. their quality was high IMO.

My Airlite really hurt with the factory grips. I never fired more than 5 shots in a day usually 2-3. With the Crimson Trace Grips My son and I both fired 10 or more. An 11 oz. 38 special is never FUN to shoot but these grips make practice tolerable. We also hit a pie plate every time at 20 yds. in the daylight. Not bad for a 1 3/4" barrel. Don't count on it against dark clothing in the daylight but at the range with a white target it was easy to pick up the dot.

The quality and workmanship of Crimson Trace products is the best in the industry. The customer service is unquestionably the best as well. This vendor distributes this quality product at a savings that can not be beat. Amazon.com is a very good place to do business. Thanks.

After I bought my 642 I bought the longer Hogue grips, which I like - it gives me a better grip on the weapon. I later decided that I wanted to try the CT grip and was willing to sacrifice the benefits that the Hogue grip provided.
Although this model of CT grip is hard polymer, it is not uncomfortable to use ( maybe for prolonged use) for my purpose i.e. carry gun and nightstand gun. The sight required a slight adjustment ( the manual says it is factory set at 50') and I wanted it set for 30'
I bought it as an open box item with a reduced price and it also had a $50 rebate , both of which influenced my purchase decision
