Editorial Reviews

This is the retelling of the events of the weekend of April 23rd 2004. Three young women, overjoyed at getting away from their hectic lives, go into the woods on a camping trip to a family cabin. As they enter the forest, the local ranger warns them about an old hermit who lives in the woods, and their joy soon turns to terror as the 3 girls realize that the forest contains other dangerous secrets. The gruesome murders begin and we realize the victims are little more than food for this watcher in the woods. Snares, long sharp knives, bear traps and branches all make for perfect ways to end the lives of these young adults who soon learn they are camping on haunted ground.

I'm going to keep this review short:

1. Horrible acting

2. Stupid script

3. Subpar photography

4. Unoriginal plot

5. Waste of time

Conclusion: Don't rent or buy this insult to the horror genre.

First off, this is super low-budget, which does not necessarily put me off a film, but in this case, it does. The way in which its filmed gives movements a jerky, unnatural look, so it's rather distracting at times. Not that there's much to be distracted from.

3 gals go to a cabin in the woods. The forest ranger tells them to watch out for a big bad old Hermit. The girls are Aubrey, Maddie, & (ahem) Bambi. Bambi is blond and says "ohmigawd" a lot. Oh, my God.

The girls meet up with 2 cute guys. Bambi is also a nympho. Aubrey hooks up with one of the guys too but there's something not right about him. Mr. Forest Ranger appears from nowhere several times, and warns the girls off these two guys. You couldn't pry them apart with a crowbar, though. UNTIL, one guy gets killed and Bambi, running for her life, finds (appropriately enough), a booby trap.

Anyway, more mayhem, more death, more mystery, more low-budget REALLY bad acting, and increasing boredom, until a very (ahem) clever twist is revealed. Egad.

So, don't go in the woods alone & don't watch this, either. Both may be hazardous to your health.

A total waste of cinema, time and space. No offense to the disabled, but this flick is truly crippled...and it wreaks with amateur b.s. I'm so happy I only paid 29 cents for it (used). Even at that price it was rip-off. AVOID...look at the credits and avoid everyone that dared put their names to this.
