After completing facilitator training in New York City over 20 years ago, Simma was hired to improve working relationships amongst diverse racial and ethnic groups in and around New York. Today, along with a multicultural team, she helps her clients to create environments where people can do their best work and enjoy it. Kate Berardo is an intercultural specialist having recently returned to the U.S. from Sapporo, Japan where she was teaching cross-cultural competencies and English language skills. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Northwestern University (2001) who spent her undergraduate years counseling teaching assistants from Europe and Asia on cultural differences and effective teaching practices. She has also developed the protocol for inclusive continuing education for the Center for Independent Futures in Evanston, Illinois, and worked as an editorial assistant on EuroDiversity.
