About the Author
Not many people know this, but Carla actually went to college with Crissy in the late 1970s. Carla remembers Crissy as "a bit on the quiet side, but well liked and with an endless variety of hairstyles." This is Carla's second book on the subject of modern dolls, following her first book Modern Doll Rarities. In addition, she has authored over 100 magazine articles on dolls and other baby-boomer era toys. Married to attorney Richard Cross, she is the proud mother of six children: Tiffin, Bria, Lacelynn, Jonnica, Dustin, and Jamison.

A wondeful and complete book about the Ideal, Crissy Family.,

A great book, wonderful photography. I enjoyed all the pictures of the dolls in the gardens, at the beach and in natural settings. I also enjoyed the way this book was layed out, it didn't have you jumping from the front of the book to the back of the book. I have many doll books including the other book that pertains to this subject, and I found this one to be much more enjoyable. A wonderful tool for identifying the dolls and the outfits.

This book is worth every penny. Lots of clear beautiful pictures- tons of outfits and dolls included in the book- with nice pictures and descriptions.No accessories included in the book and the value guide was not great- it was listed at the end of the book and the specific doll outfits were not priced individually.

I was so thrilled to recently read this book. It is wonderful such beautiful photos of Crissy in all her different outfits. As I live in Australia I rarely see many of the extra outfits and this book was a joy to read and look at the fantastic photography. Many thanks for a great book.
