It looks as though when the movie is released for home viewing, it'll not be by criterion. this will mean, his top two reviewed movies (fantastic mr. fox and moonrise kingdom) will be his only two not released by criterion. i thought for sure this one would be.

Perhaps in time they will release a Criterion Collection. However, the publisher of this film isn't going to want Criterion to undercut their chunk of sales for copies of the film. I believe in time, it will come out.

@ "Wu Stank"

Wow. Wrong on multiple counts. Rushmore, life aquatic, royal tenenbaums were all 1st released on criterion.

You haven't heard much of criterion lately because of streaming? Is that a joke? They release about 5 movies per month, every month.

Clueless.

Haha.."Is that a joke" indeed? Yeah I hope they release one soon! Because the commercial release from what I gather doesn't include any extra's. Criterion still makes the most amazing Blu-ray's and DVD packages out of anyone. Still really enjoying the Blu-ray of Harold and Maude! It's packed w/ suppliments. I think Moonrise Kingdom deserves the same treatment.
