5.0 out of 5 stars Critical Infrastructure is Awesome!, April 5, 2007
This review is from: Critical Infrastructure: Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (Hardcover)
I read this book, and honestly, it is ahead of it's time. It covers a ton of ever changing governmental sources. His second book on transportation security is even better than the first book in terms of ideas on securing supply chains. I recommend this book to anyone in the infrastructure and/or security business.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book but dated material, February 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Critical Infrastructure: Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (Hardcover)
I purchase this book for a college course but in today's era anything on Security and Anti-terrorism over three years old is dated material. This does not cover the most recent and most important initiatives and HSPDs that have been published by DHS. The professors that are using this book probably don't have a clue what is missing or a full understanding of the impact. With that said, what is there good quality information.

5.0 out of 5 stars Knowledgeable Text on Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, August 13, 2009
This review is from: Critical Infrastructure: Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (Hardcover)
I found this book to be highly informative and insightful. As a amateur entering the emergency preparedness realm, this book provided me a look at the framework of Homland Security and gave me a basis for building my future knowledge in this area. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good text which covers thoroughly, and at an understandable pace and depth, the areas of Emergency Preparedness and Homeland Security.
