More About the Author

Tod Sloan completed his Ph.D. in personality psychology (with clinical training) at the University of Michigan in 1982. He taught psychology at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma from 1982 to 2000. After serving for several years as the national co-coordinator of Psychologists for Social Responsibility (www.psysr.org), he became professor and chair in the Department of Counseling Psychology in the Graduate School at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Sloan has also been a visiting professor in Venezuela, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Brazil and Mexico. He currently focuses on using dialogue to support grassroots activists in progressive social movements for sustainability and social justice.
