I especially liked the view if liberalism and the responses to Hoppe's "democracy:the God that failed." I see clear reasons in the book of why the American Republic is not perfect. This work inspires me as a historian to teach in a better manner when teaching US history.

A very good book. Certainly worth keeping in mind when discussing neoreactionary thought. Michael Anissimov has earned his place in the movement.

The author presents his arguments clearly, albeit not persuasively. The world he imagines might appear seductive to some, however its inevitable trajectory toward feudalism would become apparent before long, by which time it might be unstoppable by anything short of revolution.

I am generally sympathetic to the thesis of the book but found the writing weak, arguments unconvincing and hand-wavy. I can imagine that it would not sway anyone who holds more conventional views. It is possible to make much stronger and more coherent argument against democracy (as in fact some bloggers recently did) but this book is not it. Wouldn't recommend it to either friends or foes of author's views.
