I have worn Croakies for many years however recently switched to Chums, and like Chums a little better. Below some of the reasons:

I like:

1. Croakies are made out of neoprene and provide a good grip on your frames.
2. Because they are made of neoprene they and are soft they fell comfortable around your head.
3. Neoprene is stretchy and adjust to a relatively wide variety of thicker frames.

I don't like:

1. The retainer is very short as it designed to fit snugly around the head. With age I found I need to switch glasses often for example take off sunglasses to put on reading glasses. With a short retainer this is difficult to do, you need to remove the retainer etc. Chums retainer provides a long leash which is easy to adjust by moving the ball mechanism in the back.

2. I like to hang my glasses around my neck when I don't need them (sunglasses when coming into a room, reading glasses when not reading) and a short retainer puts them uncomfortably close to your neck. Chums with its long retainer solves this problem.

3. Several of my neoprene Croakies unraveled at end the retainer. I cut those parts off but retainer became too short.

4. Croakies did not hold thin framed glasses well.

Bottom line: Depending on how you use your glasses this may or may not be the best retainer for your use. If you like to hang your glasses around your neck or need to switch to different glasses often check out Chums Original Cotton Standard End Eyewear Retainer

I'm a stand up paddle board enthusiast who was looking for a way to wear my prescription sunglasses without worrying about losing them if I fall off my board while paddling or surfing. Living in Hawaii with so much bright sunshine, this was a necessity for me. I decided to give Croakies a try. What a great decision! I now wear my prescription sunglasses every time I am on the water without no worries. I have fallen many times attempting to surf my paddle board and my glasses stay on every time. I no longer think about my glasses while paddle boarding. A great investment and I will gladly buy Croakies again.

I have tried other products over my past 40 years of wearing spectacles. Croakies are the very best. On other brands, the first thing to go is the part that grips the "ear" part of your spectacles. Croakies last longer than any other.

I wear semi-expensive sunglasses, I had a habit of losing them and the Croakies solved that problem. This product attaches to the handles with a snug fit. You may have a problem attaching these to sunglasses with a really thick handle, but I have always been able to eventually work the neoprene over every sunglasses handle I have owned. I wear them daily and they seem to last at least three years before they start to fray.

I was so glad to find these again. They are great to keep your glasses on nice and snug. Before these I had something longer and looser for my glasses and wound up losing an expensive pair of sunglasses in a sudden burst of surf at the beach -- the glasses and strap just floated right off my head. These are great though because the strap is short and elastic and holds the glasses on your head. The part that goes on the stems is very narrow and long. If your stems are too wide, you may have problems using these. Perfect for the beach, water parks, amusement parks or anywhere you are afraid you might lose your glasses.

As a sailing magazine editor, I get to try out lots of gear. I have used many products designed to keep my sunglasses from going over the side. Chums are comfortable and do the trick, but Croakies also do the job without getting soaked up with sea water. Because they're neoprene, the sea water doesn't absorb. With Chums, and other brands, you have to let them dry out.

Helps me keep my sunglasses with me and out of the way. Have been using these for years. Saves having your glasses take up pockets, fall out, or otherwise get left behind. Easy to wash.

Both my husband and my son are runners. They have used Croakies for years, but these have become hard to find in our area. None of the other substitutes are as good or work as well. We were very happy to find these. Perfect.

After losing a pair of very expensive glasses in the waves of the Caribbean, I decide to try these. They served the purpose very well. After my first time in the ocean, I knew thwy would protect my glasses from falling off!

I recommend these highly

At first I wasn't sure how to install this item. Part of the problem was that when I took off my glasses I couldn't see what I was doing. So ZI put the glasses back on and got a backup pair of glasses. Then I wore those so I could see what I was doing. You have this black, mostly hollow inside piece of cloth. There are openings at each end. You have to slide them over the ends of your glasses and then start moving them up. As you move them farther the back part gets shorter. Move them a little, try them on, and keep moving them until you get the right size for your size head. It took a while the first time, but it gets easier by the second time. Since there is nothing but soft cloth they don't irritate your ears at all. They're really great. You're almost not aware that they're on you.

VERY HIGH RECOMMENDATION
