I was looking forward to this book; I've been interested in making more towels and washcloths and I was hoping to find something interesting and different here. Also, I've been experimenting with Tunisian crochet and the cover made me think there would be some here.

There is some Tunisian here and some towels and washcloths, but there are a lot of potholders. If that's what you want, this is definitely for you.

I did appreciate the vintage inspiration here; I enjoy that very much.

I've made two of the designs in this book & for the price I paid for the book it was worth it. I made the designs for gifts for
Christmas & they turned out beautifully. Some of the instructions were confusing at first but after concentrating on the way this person maps out the pattern & designs the instructions I like the way she has chosen to lay out the instructions. She has a neat (as in concise) way of laying out the instructions so that the design comes out very pretty.

This book has terrific patterns with beautiful pictures.

The reason I gave it a 3 star rather than a 5 is because it has no stitch diagrams. If a crochet book has stitch diagrams, it doesn't matter how the author describes the stitch sequence, you can take a look at the diagram and understand how to crochet your project. Stitch diagrams are essential for visual learners like me.

The patterns are beautiful! I really want to make the blue ones inside of the front cover. Most of the patterns use size 3 cotton yarn which is hard to find. There are a couple that use size 4. I have not tried any of them yet.

There are so many awesome patterns that can be customized in several different ways! I am learning how to do Tunisian crochet just so I can make some of these patterns

I love to crochet and these projects are lovely. some were a little tough as I have only begun to craft after years of not doing any crochet but this has been fun.

I really bought the book for one specific project, but was delighted to find many that will make nice gifts as well as be useful in my kitchen, The directions appear to be clear and concise and the layout of the book is well done.

A perfect mix of regular crochet as well as Tunisian crochet. It's also a mix of super easy to more complex patterns. I'm glad I splurged for this book. I believe it's worth the extra money. Simple pictures and written patterns and not large print - if you need diagrams, large print and several visuals, this one may not work for you. I am satisfied.

Great patterns! The only problem I have with this book is the source of the yarns is either outdated or misspelled because I cannot find most of the yarns referenced. Otherwise, I will definitely be creating some of these items for Christmas!
