I have crocheted for many years and never saw these rag rug patterns before!
The instructions are clear and easy. I love the rag rugs and get many compliments. They work up fast and it is a great way to use my scrap fabric. I also sold some rugs at the Farmers Market. This is a great way to make extra money. The book paid for itself!

This book is excellent. You can learn to make crochet rag rugs. It includes step by step instructions.

If you are new to making crochet rag rugs, I highly recommend the Basic Crochet Rag Rug Instructional Video (DVD). You will get close ups on how to create the Crochet Rag Rugs as if she was in your living room. I love the DVD!

If you are looking for a book that will teach you the basics of crochet rag rugs, I highly recommend this book. In addition to this book, I also have the Basic Crochet Rag Rug Instructional DVD which helped me to see exactly how to make the stitches. I felt these two products worked very well together. I could read how to make a pattern, and then watch the video to see how the stitches are made.

I am a thread crocheter & ran accross these books by the Ruglady I am so glad I ordered the Rag Rugs Basic plus the DVD. Going from thread to material was easy for me and has opened a new door, I absolutely love doing these with very simple and easy to follow instructions using the basic stitches. I have made some beautiful rugs & have people wanting to buy them. If you want rugs that will last for years try making your own rag rugs.
I would recommend these books and DVD's for anyone thinking about trying rag rugs or trying something new to crochet.

it was just what i wanted. i wanted to make different shapes of rugs but didn't know how to do it. It shows how to make many different designs.

I bought this for my wife because she's already into crochet and I thought that this would be a good addition for her to learn some new patterns skills and make some beautiful rags for us at home. My wife love's the book and she says that the book is laid out in a way that it's easy to follow but will still produce some amazing patterns.

This book demonstrates very well on how to make crochet rag rugs. I always wanted to learn how to do it and I really was amazed how this book makes it so easy to do. The instructions are easy to read and very easy to follow. You will know exactly what to do in no time. It gives you quite a few patterns to choose from, to try to make. I really like that because I am going to make some more to use as gifts. I might make some to sell also since this book taught me how to do a good job with them and make them in no time.

This short book, which includes patterns and pictures, is all about crocheting rugs using rags, not yarn. Crocheting with yarn is very well-known, but I have never heard of crocheting with rags. It sounds like a good way to get rid of excess fabric.

It talks about how to attach the 1-inch wide strips of fabric together, in order to make longer strips. Before you even start cutting your fabric strips, it might be good to estimate just how much will be needed; the book covers it. Another important point to remember is making sure that the rug will stay flat when it goes on the floor.

There is a basic round rug, a rectangular rug (where it's OK to change colors every few rows), the well-known oval rug, a heart-shaped rug, a slice rag rug (that looks like a round rug that has been cut in half) and a harvest rug. Instructions are included with each picture, instructions that are written in Crochet, not in English.

Those who know how to use a crochet needle could do a lot worse than buy this book. The patterns and instructions seem like they are easy-to-follow. It is very much worth considering.

I received this book today after anxious anticipation... I was immediately disappointed. The book is supposed to be for beginners as well as advanced crocheters. The 1st pattern does not even suggest a hook size... none of the patterns I reviewed did. I've only crocheted with yarn before and found the fabric a bit more difficult but that was to be expected. If I had never crocheted before I would have been lost! Sorry... I wouldn't have bought the book if I had found it in a store and been able to look at it more thoroughly! Save your money... free patterns on the internet are more helpful!!!
